a clear lack of empathy for anyone on the bottom rung who is looking to make it better. But the people for whom they withhold their most animosity are those who would deem to dare speak to the notion that it is in the best interest of our society that we act on the behalf of those less fortunate. And it REALLy pisses 'em off when they actually appear at a soup kitchen and "pretend" to rub elbows with the ordinary citizen. They are so used to such arrogant nonsense from their elected leaders and shills ,(and elected shills), about the rights of the wealthy to horde their well-earned,(or whatever-way acquired), fortunes and the craven liberals who want to wrest it from their cold dead mitts, and they have spent considerable energy (and money), to connect avarice with TRUE UH-MERICAN PATRIOTISM, that anyone who reaches a position of influence that DARES to speak and act differently is resolutely condemned for being a hypocrite! How low we have sunk as a society and a nation that our dialog has become so debased! They really hate the OBAMAS! Yeah, they hated the Clintons, but, (and I'm guessing that this is just the tip of the iceberg), they REALLY hate the Obamas. I mean really! Serving food to the poor! One wonders what activity today's freepers would approve of for the first lady. Hey, JacknJill and Fast eddie, any ideas of appropriate republican-approved photo-ops for the "other" Michele. (They really don't like that "otherness" thing).
Cramer was on Scarborough this morning to help stop the bleeding with Joe coming to his rescue in a near apoplectic rage calling Stewart an "ideologue" and talking about his "hundreds of writers" who scour the internet looking for clips to take out of context, making Cramer out to be some kind of victim. It was weird. If I read the Daily Show clip correctly, it was presented with the notion that essentially all of the so-called "experts" on CNBC got it wrong in a very big way. He wasn't saying that Cramer sucked exactly although he did kind of tweak Cramer's bombastic "style" a bit. It's not like the writers were lazily trolling for content and decided to go after Cramer and Santelli because the two dared criticize Obama. Stewart was tweaking their phony outrage and faux-populism when they themselves helped contribute to some of the problems we're facing. I got a kick out of Joe calling Jon Stewart an "ideologue" though. How rich is that?! Rush Limbaugh is an "entertainer" when he goes off the rails, but Jon Stewart, an actual entertainer is a dangerous "ideologue". What a strange world the conservatives live in!
