Original article: Mean girl

Mean girl or politics as usual?

I am no fan of Sarah Palin, and I am actually terrified of her becoming president if McCain wins and then passes (god forbid). I also think there were many enlightening points in this article, including the fact that the "corrupt" officials she ousted are still involved in Alaska politics. But why on earth is this cast under the light "Mean Girls"? This is called dirty politics ... taking the support of leaders then they are popular and distancing yourself when they are unpopular. It happens everywhere and all the time. Politicians have often battled the people who helped build them when it becomes politcally expedient. Many so-called "reformers" have reformed very little in actuality. Palin fits this mold exactly. So, why is it important that she is a woman doing this? Why utilize the catty image of youg girls battling? Perhaps there is something to this claim of sexism.
