Original article: Why Bush won't attack Iran

Conspiracy Theories, Black-Ops & War-Mongering

Viz-a-viz Bush and an attack on Iran, here are a few posits:

CONSPIRACY THEORIES: (1) The journey of six nuclear-tipped cruise missiles last week aboard a B-52 from North Dakota to Louisiana was no mistake; it was a pre-planned, dry-run and/or pre-positioning of assets in preparation for the nuclear attack on Iran. (2) Mr. Bush, acting at the behest of AIPAC, the Israeli-leaning lobby within the United States Government, is going to attack Iran, in concert with Israel. (3) Big oil, still flush with huge profits from natural disasters, speculation and disruptions of oil supplies and which is an integral part of the Bush and Cheney family fortunes, is prodding Mr. Bush to attack Iran so the supplies will shrink further and, therefore, increase revenues. (4) Halliburton, KBR, et al, will all get no-bid contracts from Mr. Bush and his henchmen to "re-build" Iran following a war there...much the same way they have "re-built" Iraq...with no over-sight and with billions of dollars in profits at stake.

BLACK OPS: (1) Group G6, a combination unit of the NSA, CIA and Special Forces, is already operating in Iran. There are six separate groups, of ten members each, who speak fluent Farsi and Arabic and who look "Iranian". Their jobs are to infiltrate the infrastructure, create internal discord, occasionally "terminate with extreme prejudice" influential members of the Iranian parliament, military and power structure and strike with sabotage when the American attacks begin. They'll also be providing real-time laser-targeting and GPS guidance to planes, cruise missiles and smart bombs. (2) Along with Israeli Mossad strike teams, G6 will pollute Iranian nuclear sites with enough radioactive material to render uninhabitable any/all research/weaponeering sites within Iran...because there are many sites that are too deep within the sandstone to be affected by so-called "bunker-busting" nuclear-tipped missiles and bombs.

WAR-MONGERING: (1) The CIA is printing bogus Rials and Tomans and is beginning to flood the Mid-East with them; those who are paid with funny-money will demand that Iran make the money good in gold or oil. Iran will refuse and hostilities will ensue between Iran and its former allies..Syria and the Palestinian territories. (2) Bush is pressing hard to make the case that Iran is seeking hegemony in the region, therefore, needs to be stopped. His back-channel "diplomacy" with France, the UK and Saudi Arabia is beginning to show; witness the French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner (Jewish ancestry, btw) and his public sabre-rattling from Paris just this week.

Disclaimer: OK, simply a case of stream-of-conciousness here. The above excercise was just for fun, but it sure looks scarily real, doesn't it?

@ Holly Capote

Thanks for being so predictable; mention anything that contains "Jew" or "Jewish" with even a modicum of criticism and a torrent of accusatory and faux "anti-semiticism" will flood the area. Nothing new here; that's exactly what AIPAC does to anyone who even dares to criticize Israel's policies, too.

Peripherally, thanks for proving my point...so well and so quickly.

Original article: The Mormons are coming

Religion, In General

My problem with most religions is their inability to simply STFU when it comes to others who may not share their "vision" of the world. To them, your religion, or lack thereof, is less important than their religion! That is the height of arrogance and the absolute nadir of understanding.

As a practicing...and, very happy member of the Anglican Communion/Episcopal Church...I've been visited at my home by over-eager Mormon missionaries, Jehovah's Witnesses plus various and sundry members of frothing-at-the-mouth Evangelical Christian congregations; to them, I am not sufficiently Christian/saved/churched/whatever.

Simply saying "no thank you" or "I'm happy with my religion" is greeted with the usual refutation of my core beliefs and dismissal of same. To them, only they and their particular religion have the true path, the right way and the sole venue to "Eternal Salvation".

Those who choose a religion should be allowed to practice that religion as long as it harms no one else. Those who choose not to practice a religion have that right, as well. And, those of us who DO practice a religion should be free of being pestered by others.

I always wondered what would happen if there was a country that contained only Evangelical Christians or Mormons or whatever who were all members of that faith. Would there then be "defenders of the faith" who would ride herd on everyone else to enforce dogma?

Oh, yeah. They have that: they're called the Taliban.
