"only in Planet Greenwaldia is this somehow going to instantly compel a US President to free captured terrorists"-
"Glenn's obvious self-hatred towards his own Jewishness"
-winsmith
@ KittWhy are you so fearful that it might turn out that Hasan is a terrorist?
-- Old Joe
where do you come up with this stuff?
Why wouldn't you? Would you rather "lose a city"?-- GlennGreenwald
My assumption regarding this mindset and the bombing in Iran is that, of course, the State department denies any involvement, but reserves the right to do it at the same time.
Because if killing innocent Iranians illegally might possibly save lives here it is therefore a just action on our parts.
9/11 turned some MFs brains into mush
Okay, josh, I'll bite. What are we "basking" under? Your blinding wit or your overpowering logic or what...? If it's intelligence, I don't know. There's a quite few bright bulbs here.
do not attempt to bask in my intelligence. it is average
my post was pure mockery
Nice. And genuinely funny but there is a problem with your assessment. That would be the fact that my musings and writings are meaningless because they are not heeded:) Everyone has heeded the more and better democrats crowd's advice. People were heeding that advice before Glenn Greenwald and I existed. So, I know you thought you were on to something there but....
I'm not in disagreement with your railing against the "better democrats" theory. I admit I fell for it, but I'm not going to bludgeoned with the supreme court nomination trump card that is played so often anymore.
my derision of you comes from what seems to be your hatred of dialogue. it would be nice if the world would just get on with itself, let gays fuck and marry, provide equal health care for all regardless of wealth and stop torturing for fuck's sake. you seem to think the methods of others are worthless because they don't produce results. neither do yours
accept it and accept that other people reach conclusions in their own way. as maddening as it is
talk. seriously. offer advice. your only advice, over and over again, is to not vote for democrats. it is just as maddening
Greenwald's writings have changed nothing. corporate power still rules
adnoto has also convinced me that his own musings are meaningless. he writes and writes, yet corporate power still rules
my only conclusion is that I am the only one who understands everything
bask you fuckers
Like King says when they start cutting off fingers as a matter of course, I'll take another look.
another lie from shooter
you would twist and bend to pretend it was nothing more than a little discomfort for an evil terrorist
you know you want to defend it (cutting off accussed terrorist's fingers) anyway. just go ahead and do it. you've got huge brass ones don't you? do it.
are you surprised because you think Glenn is an anti-semite?
stop engaging bernbart
bernbart is a troll
bernbart derails critical thought in a way shooter could only dream of
below par is a good thing
I think what you meant to say is that his stream of consciousness bullshit was stupid
so stupid
keep it up and you could have a job writing at the washington post or the wall street journal
from the post
Rush Limbaugh, speaking to his audience of 15 million people.
mary:Nicholson certainly had a closer relationship with both the Pope and President Bush than either "Kitt" or "joshuanoyes".
Nicholson was a political appointee of GWB and you still haven't produced a quote from the pope where he said the invasion of Afghanistan was morally justified
If the pope said it, get me a quote from him
mary means to say the "kind of" quote from Nicholson
mary thinks Nicholson is the pope
in the Panetta article you linked to, he says, "The CIA no longer operates black sites and no longer employs "enhanced" interrogation techniques."
if someone asked him why they don't do these things anymore, what would his answer be?
mary:ALONG WITH HIS PRAYERS, the aging Pontiff used the suddenly solemn ceremony to express publicly the Vatican's solidarity with the U.S. But, as Nicholson recalls, the Pope went one step further, leaning over to say directly to the new ambassador: "This was not just an attack against America, but against all humanity." These and other papal comments in the weeks following Sept. 11, says Nicholson, gave an "implied justification" from the Holy See for the subsequent U.S.-led military campaign in Afghanistan. It was a prized show of Vatican support for a White House keen on strengthening its standing among American Catholics.
why do you keep quoting nebulous claims from Nicholson?
mary:1) as a fellow christian, it is my opinion that Bush shared the Pope's moral position on the war
2) this is how i "know" Bush thinks he acts morally...actually i don't claim omniscience. i'm only stating an opinion that i believe is supported by fact
I'm stating your position is based on misreading
asked and answered-- mary_steyr
you seemed to attribute a quote to the pope and imply that that means GWB truthfully felt the same
from your link:
James Nicholson (GWB's then ambassador to the Vatican) said, "A moral justification for war exists."
why did you say the pope said it and what does that have to do with GWB's motives?
like Kitt, I'm already sorry
I neither know nor care what else Richard is doing on the side
