And I thought the Puritans were easily offended. For people who ostensibly have no problem with almost naked men and women parading around in Gay Pride parades, and who presumably support "Piss Christ", artwork of an extremist right wing nut-job in S&M gear is somehow extremely offensive?
I suppose when art doesn't stick it to the patriarchy or the "good old-boys" club, it's offensive and sexist?
It's that left-wing double standard that turns people away from the environmental movement and the feminist movement, parts of which are equally as scary as Jerry Falwell as some of these comments prove.
Boy, you people sure have some angry hymens! You need to get the sand out of your vaginas and support all free speech, and not just the kind you agree with!
references both Family Guy, and South Park, for those not in the know. Face!
Sadly, it would be funny if I didn't think that 51% of Americans lack the critical thinking skills and are too blinded by right-wing talking points to see the rank hypocrisy and McCain's dangerous short-term thinking that the Palin choice represents.
But they can't, and the MSM sees their role more as the chattering class than as guardians of democracy, so McCain and the far-right fringe get away with it every time.
When Gibson said if under the NATO treaty, the United States would have to go to war if Russia again invaded Georgia, Palin responded: "Perhaps so. I mean, that is the agreement when you are a NATO ally, is if another country is attacked, you're going to be expected to be called upon and help.
"And we've got to keep an eye on Russia. For Russia to have exerted such pressure in terms of invading a smaller democratic country, unprovoked, is unacceptable," she told Gibson.
First of all, Russias invasion of Georgia, WAS NOT UNPROVOKED. She would know that if she PAID ATTENTION to the news these past few months. Which she OBVIOUSLY didn't.
Not only is she inexperienced, but she is DANGEROUSLY inexperienced.
Did she not know that Russia (the former Soviet Union) has THOUSANDS of intercontinental ballistic missles at their disposal to ANIHALATE life on this planet, as do we.
Her foreign policy tutors did not do their job apparantly.
The governor HAS NO FRIGGIN' IDEA about foreign policy.
If she's elected, it's going to be like that scene in "The Dead Zone" where Martin Sheen says the missles are flyin'
I guess she didn't see that movie either!

When asked what year it was 21% of Rural Americans answered 1967, 36% answered 1953.
Sports highlights, and the weather with Kathy Jackson, at 11!
It's not impossible to handicap Ohio. Rural whites and the Amish won't vote for Obama because of his race and education. Blue collar workers won't either except for those who are very pro-labor.
Obama's base of support in Ohio comes from urban Blacks, and the college educated--unfortunately that demographic doesn't make up a majority there.
No, his best hopes are in Colorado and New Mexico, where he is slightly ahead.
To: 'bernbart'
It's not so much that they vote against their best interests because Obama is black. Was there a "whiter" presidential candidate than Al Gore, but they didn't go for him either.
No, the bias among that "walmart" crowd is against "elitists".
Because the fact is that they are bitter and they do cling to their guns and religion. Bush was more outwardly religious than Gore. He was their kind of Christian, and they felt they could have a beer with him. So much so, that they voted for him TWICE.
Now if Gore didn't have a chance with these people, what are Obama's chances?
"Palin's office redacted most of what they turned over, and refused to turn over more than 1,000 messages, citing executive privilege."
This chick is something else! I mean, talk about fascist. As governor of one of the smallest states, she's ALREADY claiming executive privilege in an investigation.
However, I wasn't aware that spouses of the office holder also had executive privilege, otherwise why would Todd Palin have access to the emails, but not a concerned citizen.
Who's to say that the earth couldn't support twice the amount of humans already on it.
Not that that would be a good idea, but it seems to me that most consumption, and environmental degradation occurs in the West (US+Europe), with about 20% of the world's population.
Nuclear power plants in Africa: 2.
In France alone: 40.
So according to this "overpopulation" theory, the first people we need to get rid of are the one's with the most money and education.
You think you're doing great eating "local" and "organic"?
Well, Africans have you beat. They grow their own rice and beans on their own individual plot of land, that is ultra-local. Sure they only eat once a day, and their kids are starving. But just think about how little impact they have on Mother Earth. Not like those wasteful New Yorkers or San Franciscans.
You think you're cutting your carbon emissions by biking to work. Do you know how much pollution is generated my making just ONE fixed-gear bicycle. Let's not even get into the emissions created by just ONE cupcake.
Africans have you beat there too: they walk everywhere. Their feet are their bicycles. And they're de facto vegans too, because they can't afford to eat meat.
So if you really want to make a difference to the world, move to Namibia, and live on a dollar a day.
Oh, that doesn't sound like fun? You mean you don't want to give up your iPod and your MacBook, and your chai latte and your Yoga mat?
Then what the fuck are you humans bitching about overpopulation then. You are all part of the problem.
Patience, there will be time enough for the Great Culling!
