Original article: WSJ to Bush: Pardon Libby

Ain't Gonna Happen

If Mr. Libby was pardoned, he could not assert his 5th amendment rights when being grilled by future congressional committees, etc.

All the money he paid out for his legal defense will be made up as a 'Senior Wanker' at the Scab Foundation (or whatever they call Scailfe's BS panderers nowadays).

Scott Pollard

is a traitor & should rot in jail.

Happy Hannukah, Realname et. al.

Happy Holidays, Bill!

Little late to the party (as usual) but it's great to see your monikor here again. Hope to read some more of your thoughts in the coming year.

I Mean't

whichever Pollard is in jail for selling our secrets to the Israelis.

I assume it is 'Jon'. I don't know why I came up with 'Scott'.

My apologies.

Surely

the great state of New York can come up with a better candidate than Caroline Kennedy.

I think Mr. Cuomo would be a better, more engaged senator.

How Come

I don't see any posts by this '5 man trio' y'all are railing against?

I'm guessing it is another one of Electrodick's aliases.

Monday, December 29, 2008 09:00 AM

Hey bystander

Thank's for the explanation. The person who posts under all those incarnations was originally known as 'realname'. He/she then started using all the other aliases we've all come to loath.

He/she comes up with a pithy point about 1 post out of every 1,000.

Original article: This Modern World

Tom

I think you speak for the nation (you certainly speak for me in this instance).

Happy New Year!

I Wish

the poor Palestinians had some concept of public relations. They (IMO) are doing exactly what the American Indians did back in the 18th - 19th centuries (i.e. gruesome attacks on civilians & expect the enemy's press to be evenhanded about reasons for such attacks).

The Western press is not impartial. Other than Glenn's great columns (and a few others), the narrative is shaped daily by the Israelis and their many, many allies.

Ghandi was smart, he understood he had to get good press in the English newspapers. If he couln't engender sympathy among the British people, then he had no chance.

Now, I'm not saying that the non-violence way of Ghandi is the only way to do it (although that would really freak out the Israelis if the Palestinians did it with the same fervor that the Indian patriots employed it).

If they are going to violently resist, the violence needs to be targetted at the Israeli military ONLY. No attacks on any target that can be painted as civilian. IMO, all attacks on civilians only play into the preferred Israeli narrative that the Palestinians are a bunch of animals (the Palestinian leadership has to realize that Americans don't understand or care that every Israeli adult is basically in the military. If they aren't wearing a uniform & under military discipline at the time of the attack...don't attack them, you'll just give them an 'atrocity' they will flog you with).

This also means no shooting of rockets willy nilly into a town where the Israelis can claim it is an 'attack on civilians' and ginn up their sophisticated PR machine.

Maybe one day they'll understand this. I have my doubts, though.

I support the right of the Palestinians to have their own 'real' state. But, I have cringed for many years at their terrible, self defeating tactics. I'm also a Browns fan, BTW...

Uh, Poco...

you do know the Palins are Republicans, right?

Wrong on Chargers

San Diego is back. LT is finally healthy (and Antonio Gates to boot). Expect a Chargers win.

Also think Cardinals will find a way to beat Atlanta.

Think the other two will go as you predict.

Happy New Year, King!

On the Blockquotes

That's Kitt, I didn't know how y'all did them either. Hopefully, I'll get to use them here before too long.

That Sounds Good, duderino...

but (IMO) the Palestinians will never get their state until it is basically given to them by the Israelis. The Palestinians (and Arabs) will never militarily defeat Israel (and her #1 backer).

The ironic thing is that hundreds of years ago when battles were huge street fights involving no major technology beyond the spear & bow/arrow the Palestinians would have driven the Israelis into the sea.

Not now though, Israel's military is just too strong.

In another thread a few days ago I wished the Palestininas were more nuanced about their resistance. They can only obtain their state once Jewish & American public opinion agrees that they deserve one. Even though they have ample reasons to shoot rockets willynilly into Israel. From a strategic & public realations standpoint the rocket shooting only helps their ememies paint them as barbarians.

I stand by my post.

Original article: Franken wins, for now

Senator Franken!!!

Say it LOUD! I'm so happy we have sent that slimeball Coleman packing. I supported Al & I'm damn proud of it.

I think he'll be a fine senator. I can't wait to see him reaming some Repubs on the Sunday talk shows!! We finally have a liberal in the Senate who's not afraid to be called a liberal & can quip with the best of them.

Original article: Panetta under fire already

Fuck Em

Pes. Obama needs to have a 'come to Jesus' meeting with Sen. Fienstein & Rockefeller.

'This is my choice & by God I'll have Mr. Panetta as CIA chief or there will be hell to pay'.

He can do that & if he needs to I know he will.

Tuesday, January 6, 2009 05:40 AM

He Should Go

about as far as he can throw them.

Tuesday, January 6, 2009 06:04 AM

In Hindsight, Glenn

the West should have militarily confronted Hitler when he annexed the Rhineland. That would be circa 1937 I think.

Great job in a tough environment (being on Hewitt's show). You did a fine job & Mr Hewitt let you make your points (which is more than I can say for slimeballs like Hannity & Savage, etc.).

Tuesday, January 6, 2009 07:53 AM

Why

are so many Democratic leaders pussies? Why can't I have a majority leader who doesn't need Repub votes to get re-elected? Is that too much to ask for?

Tuesday, January 6, 2009 09:20 AM

Hey Derbig Mooser

I'm wondering if Winston is going to ever answer your excellent questions about the Jewish relationship with Zionism?

I enjoy reading your posts. Keep em coming.
