He'd Better Have Them Already

ddeuts1 said about Sen. McCain: 'So the real point here is that McCain is not talking to Jews, but instead John Hagee and his kind, as they truly are his base.'

If Sen. McCain doesn't already have the acolytes of Tim Hagee & his ilk in his back pocket, he's toast in the general election.

I think he's down there talking up Israel to peel off Jewish votes in what he feels will be a close race in FL come Fall.

Hit a Free Throw, Fatso

jwr_12 had this to say about Mr. O'Neal: 'He made them competitive in games 1 and 5 and it's not his fault if the Suns couldn't get mentally ready for the series.'

Although Shaq did play OK in game 1, I saw him miss at least 8 free throws in first half of game 5. Didn't see 2nd half, but I'm sure he missed some in that half as well.

He also doesn't come out and defend a big guy when he pops out to the top of the key (Duncan had several open foul line jumpers). If they keep him, whoever the coach is needs to tell him: 'You need to shoot 60% from the line to play for me. I don't care how you do it, underhanded, hookshots, etc. but you will not play if you can't hit a fucking free throw'.

Back when he was in his prime, didn't matter if he couldn't hit free throws when he was dunking on everybody. Now, he's so diminished, he has to make them.

Also, in that same first half he had an open layup & he didn't dunk it & tried to bank it in & it didn't fall & he was so pissed. If I had been the coach, I would have wanted to choke him. Dunk the fucking ball! You're 7 feet tall for God's sake!?!?!

WES, good point on MVP vote. Paul is playing at least as well as Nash & doesn't have the surrounding talent that Nash had.

Original article: Where's the girl horse?

I Was There

at the Derby, in the infield. Very nice day, although a bit windy. We didn't even know anything had happened until we were leaving the track (if you only watch the feed provided by the track, you'll never see anything they don't want you to see).

I had the exacta & won some money. The tragedy has sorta put a damper on that whole day. I wish they could have done something to save the horse.

If polytrack is the answer, then they should switch to polytrack. I don't care how it would affect bettors, etc. Only the welfare of the racehorses matters.

Just Remember

It is not the troop's fault that we are in Iraq. It is not the fault of the wounded sergeant, nor is it the fault of the poor Iraqis they are fighting.

The fault lies way above their pay grade.

It Depends

Baldie McEagle just asked: 'Is this level of ignorance supposed to be a plus or a minus in a presidential candidate?'

on whether the candidate is a Republican or a Democrat :-)

I also agree with another poster who said 'Herb' should have smoked some of the herb at that Cream concert. It would make extricating the stick up his ass so much easier.

Nader was as Wrong as the Day is Long

HRH lamented: 'Nader was right in 2000, without 9/11, there really wasn't that great a difference between Gore and Bush'

You must also be smoking some of Herb's herb ;-)

I've read many of your posts & know you're a lot smarter than that egotistical maniac Ralph Nader.

Gore would have appointed judges totally different than Bush (wouldn't have the odious Lilly Ledbetter decision, et. al.)

He wouldn't have politicized the Justice Dept. Wouldn't have been funneling money to right wing 'Christian' wackos (as the 'Faith Based' BS does). I could go on & on for about another 5 or so paragraphs.

Sure 9/11 was their wet dream, but if it hadn't happened, Bush still would have done alot of crazy shit in 4 years (I think he would have been tossed out, but for 9/11).

The revolution you ache for is not going to happen, but to trivialize the many, many differences in governing philosophy between Chimpy/Cheney & VP Gore is jarring to someone who knows what a fine progressive you are.

My Robo Pick

came up with Gov. Napolitano of AZ. Would be an interesting choice & should put AZ in play. I hadn't really thought of her before & she is probably not my first pick. I think Evan Bayh, Jim Webb, or Tom Vilsack would be good. I also wouldn't mind either Clinton in the spot.

Alo, Gov. of Ohio (Ted Strickland) is very popular. No Rep. has ever been elected president without taking Ohio.

Won't Someone Think of the Children!

I think the reason you don't get more of this 'in the huddle stuff' is that there is probably a lot of cursing going on & since they go live, they can't beep it out.

I know there was a lot of cursing when I was coaching my squadron's team back in the day :-)

Hey Pedinska!

who said: 'They make a satisfying "splat" when they hit the pavement.

I suspect neocons would too. ;-}'

I'd love to find out :-)

Talk About Being Stupid!!!

Gator90 let all the internets see how stupid he/she is: 'I just don't share your interest in the Liberty incident. Don't know what happened; not interested in being enraged about it even assuming your unproven theories are correct. I guess I'd say that if I were piloting a ship, I would try to keep it away from war zones.'

Hey dumbass, they were there on orders. Orders from the U.S.A. In international waters. THE U.S. MILITARY ORDERED THEM TO BE WHERE THEY WERE.

It takes a pretty pathetic person to countenance the deaths of U.S. servicemen just so he/she can, in their mind, score a cheap 'gotcha'.

After reading some prior posts, that's what you expect from a dipshit like Gator90
