Now Wait a Minute

Droogoy said this about Belechick & Patriots: 'lose to the odious, cheating, ratshit -eating Patsies (where the evidence now shows they'd never have begun their SuperBowl success run without knocking off the Rams compliments of viddying their whole game plan in the walk through before that SB. As a Sporting News columnist noted, don't believe for one second it was for naught. Bellichick wouldn't have bothered had he not obtained a benefit. E.g. knowing the Rams' play progression!)'

You know, if Bill Belechick is one thing, it's 'half assed'. That's the way he operates, just sorta whinging it & hoping the Gods are with him. If you are going to tape teams, just have one schlub doing it only in games that don't count for anything. So, I'm sure he wouldn't want to see all that 'progression' stuff his opponent would be practicing (hell, they'd just be walking around, can't gauge the team speed, etc.)

Uh, Droogoy...

I was engaging in a little sarcasm there. I thought you'd have read enough of my posts by now to detect it.

Gotcha!

Unusual

I find it hard to wrap my head around someone geting whaled on so much (as I unfortunatly did at times to my 4 years younger sister) & not tell the parents.

My sister (God bless her) never had any compunction about letting the authorities know.

Did the LW grow up in one of those 'stop snitching' neighborhoods?

Thank's for Name, Carrrie

Carrrie mentioned: 'About the snoring, often when people are dying they have what are called Cheyne-Stokes respirations which was probably the loud snoring. It has to do with the nervous system and respiration.'

A great friend of mine passed away last October. He was a strapping 46 year old man who when you looked at him, you'd have thought he was the picture of health (6'3", about 230, well muscled).

he was also a partier (alcoholic/pill popper). Long story, short: He got into an intense verbal altercation with his family during a bender & swallowed a bunch of pills as a stupid/drunk cry for attention (my take, as he was not suicidal & had been talking excitedly to me about his children's upcoming school/sports events). He passed out & was taken to hospital & was revived & they (hospital & wife) thought everything was OK after a few hours & let him go home. That next morning he & his wife were sleeping & the wife said he was snoring 'really loudly' & she moved out of room to the couch. A couple of hours later she checked on him & he was dead.

So, if you have aloved one in a potential OD situation (or what you think is the aftermath of an OD) & the person starts doing the 'really loud snoring'. Please CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY. I wish my friend's family had known about that, because he might still be alive & I miss him. RIP WB.

Are You in the U.S.?

Dick Dworkin asserted: 'it's also very very politically stupid to give the jewish nuts and much more significantly the CHRISTIAN nuts special treatment and deny equivalent special treatment to the muslim nuts'

Obviously, you are not a politician here in the U.S. :-)

Yes I Did

Tree Hugger commented: 'It is interesting to me how many people will never forgive Hillary for voting for the Iraq issue. Yet, these same people voted for Kerry/Edwards. Is it because they are men that they can be forgiven.'

I proudly voted for Kerry/Edwards back in 04. However, that does not mean that I forgave them for their votes (I didn't & I still don't).

I'm supporting Sen. Obama right now, but if Sen. Clinton captures the nomination, I'll happily vote for her (considering the alternative).

I don't fogive her for her vote on that, either.

I think she was trying to triangulate (stay on the 'right' side of an issue that she was thinking would probably play well for Repubs politically). She cannot admit this, because it would mean that she put her own political considerations above the lives of our troops. Anyone with 1/2 a brain could see that GWB was hell-bent on invading Iraq, no matter what.

I also think Sen. Edwards & Sen. Kerry were trying to do the same thing.

Fond Memories

LAS was a very funny show. Probably looks pretty corny now, but I remember lots of serious laughing when I was watching show back in early 70s.

Sure Looks Like

All of our Democratic politicians had better assume they are under NSA level surveillence.

Given what I've read recently, you'd be a fool to behave otherwise.

Nice Story, but...

Godmonkey mentioned this in his/her ode to young love in 60s: 'America -- because you always knew you'd like an America album and besides,'

I don't think the band 'America' released any music until c. 1969.

Great group, though. That girl had taste :-)

America (the band)

should be in the Hall of Fame. Can't believe they're not.

No Monkees in Hall

Started out as a fake band, members then learned to play their intruments & ended up as a nice pop band with a few excellent songs. Had a top-rated TV show for a couple of years. One of the band's members is heir to the 'white out' fortune. To me, if the Monkees go in, then you've got to put The Blues Brothers in as well.

If the Monkees were a baseball player, I'd say: Willie Wilson of the KC Royals. Madonna (who I think belongs in the Hall, maybe not 1st ballot though), would be Robin Yount.

Thank's Lynx

for your info. My bad on the incorrect assertions I made regarding the band member's musical ability.

Willie McGee is a Good Choice

I might have used him myself. Only difference being that since I'm on record as saying the Monkees should not be in Hall, I couldn't use him since I do think Mr. McGee should be in baseball HOF someday.

I might have to listen to some more Monkee's songs. There have been a couple mentioned that I can't remember right now.
