AKA Smith commented re Edwards: 'Boy let me tell you, that was also my "Oh Shit" moment. I just moved to Edwards. Now I am having second thoughts.'
Everything is fine in Obamaland, AKA Smith. You can be assimilated into the love of the Obama. Let yourself go to the light that is Obama. Come, come...
Won't he just get filleted again in SC?
Garry Owen asked; 'What ever happened to Laugh In? All current events based comedy waxes and wanes with the times.'
Laugh In was my favorite show when I was a kid. I can remember watching it & laughing until my sides hurt. I caught a rerun of it a few years ago & I was astounded at how not-funny it appeared to me now. Many of the references the show made I failed to pick up on (forgot some of the reasons they were ragging on various people) & the show had a Bennie Hill quality that I guess I appreciated more when I was 12.
That dude who rode the tricycle & then fell over still cracked me up though.
wrote about a potential child of his (I guess) that was aborted: 'I have often thought of having a doctor deliberately create some kind of a scar on my body, on my hand, maybe, just as some sort of tangible reminder of her existence.'
Why don't you get a nice tasteful tattoo to memorialize her? I'm surprised you haven't thought of that (maybe you have, but left it out of your post).
it's considered gauche to basically beg for a star.
Parick Morgan commented: 'Way to speak for your masters; I see someone knows how to get a star -just tell'em what they wanna to hear'
Yes, 12 stars out of 322 (and counting). I am a veritable galaxy!! Tremble beneath my glut of stars!
Men & women, if you want a sure-fire home protection device, get a gun. A nice double-barrelled shotgun (18.5" barrel) is a handy & easy weapon to use. Don't have to get 12 gauge, 2 loads of 410 gauge buck will stop anyone not wearing body armor.
Remember, you don't want to bring a taser to a gun fight.
JoeMc1 commented: 'As for the supposed "home field advantage", LSU and OSU fans received the same number of tickets for the game. While I'm sure the streets of New Orleans were filthy with LSU fans, once the game moved inside the dome, everything became equal.'
Although you are correct that each team gets an equal allotment, another block of tickets (thousands) go on sale to the locals (New Orleans locals).
I was surprised at how many OSU fans got into the game, but there were definitely more LSU fans in stands.
I thought he looked terrible when they would show him on the sidelines in the Seattle game. His face sorta looked jaundiced. He is a pretty classy dude for an NFL coach.
Best of luck to him in his retirement.
There was an interesting article about him by J. Feinstein on the Post's web site yesterday. Might want to check it out.
As for an NCAA Playoff in football, they need to start with a 4 team tournament (it's a 2 team tournament now) & go from there (rotate the semi-final games among the major bowls). The NCAA basketball tourney was only 8 teams at first.
My mother, who is in her 80s and is a progressive Democrat, mentioned to me a lunch yesterday (Tuesday) that she thought the coverage of Sen. Clinton was despicable & said she would vote for her when KY has their primary (she had not been leaning her way before).
I go to the infield at the KY Derby every year & although there are very large women's restrooms & portajohns all over the place, the huge crowds cause the backup Mr. Keillor mentioned. Around 1 P.M. (after everyone gets liqoured up), you will begin to see females going into the much less crowded (and much ranker) men's bathrooms. Livens up the party atmosphere, I say.
I've never seen one at one of the troughs, though.
I say kudos to any woman who has mastered the art of peeing while standing. One of my old girlfriends could write her name in the snow.
King responded to a comment of mine: 'As for an NCAA Playoff in football, they need to start with a 4 team tournament (it's a 2 team tournament now) & go from there (rotate the semi-final games among the major bowls). (< my comment)
Why? Why not just get it right from the start? (< King's comment)'
I think that if you keep on insisting on an 8 team tourney at a minimum, it will never get started. (prime 'argument' against an 8 or 16 team playoff is the extra games & extra chance of injury in those (I quoted the word argument, since I don't think that is the prime reason, but those are 2 reasons that a 4 team tourney can shoot down)).
The whole idea is to get an actual tournament underway. I don't think it should remain 4 teams, but let's get a 4 team one underway & when it works out there will be pressure (from other schools/conferances with teams that they consider should have been in) to expand it.
The REAL reason is that BCS coaches & athletic directors like the current bowl system, because it allows 32 good teams to finish their year with a win (as opposed to NCAA basketball where just about every good team finishes with a loss & remember, in a football season every single game is a much larger proportion of the season than in basketball, & remember that most boosters seem to care more about football than basketball (IMO)).
These people are scared that the bowls will disappear over time & then every good football team but 1 will be finishing their year with a downer (loss in the big football tournament).
On an unrelated note, I think Tim Raines belongs in the Hall.
Loved your line about Pamela Anderson, LMAO!!!!
