Clemens Venom

Thrasher lamented the lack of 'Clemens Venom' on this site (heh). Well, let me correct that.

I think Roger Clemens is a pathetic, lying, me-first, scumbag who should never be allowed within a mile of the HOF.

He is a pussy who brings teams down with his I-play-the-worst-when-the-chips-are-down performances (remember him getting tossed in the 1st inning of a WS game!!).

I'm so happy he was outed as a steroid abuser. I laugh at his misfortune/arrogance (buwahahahaha).

How about that?

I Wonder

if her blog has fun posts reminicing about the gonzo time they had in South Carolina back in 2000? Those were the days...

The Checklist

That was one of the best posts I have ever read from Golden Boy. I looked it over for some slam on evil Muslim hordes, but alas I found nothing but snarky humor directed at KOF. Well played.

Response to Golden Boy

I'm glad you have a more nuanced views of our muslim fellow travelers in the world. I work with a few & they are just average people trying to get thru life (none of them are that crazy 'Whahabbi' (hope I spelled that right) sect, though).

For those who do feel that it is their duty to literally take over the world & run it as a 'muslim dictatorship of the umma and non-umma' (and there are some like that), I have nothing but hatred for & I would kill them like rabid dogs (since I get the impression that is what they would do to me).

Did like that checklist though, got a good laugh from that.

To Totoro

The Clinton camp may think Drudge is one of their 'operatives', but he works for the Republicans. Always has, always will (because he's a POS).

but I get it!!! You're going to be a daddy! Way to go Keef, take care of your lady (cause she'll be doing all the heavy lifting).

Great Choice

I'm so sorry Sgt. Mora & Sgt. Gray aren't with us now to accept their honors & be with their families. These men (and their fellow troops who signed the op-ed) were very brave, and true patriots as well. God bless them all.

Mr. Owen's poem is still valid today. Sick pride is what keeps our soldiers over there, sweating & dying one by one as callous blowhards dicker over minutae, content because they're not over there

where the bullets fly and the trumpets blare...

About the Anonymous Pussy

who had the troll posts earlier in thread.

Realname used to do that, but he/she would always post their handle when they did that type of 'post' (which I admire, the putting your name down on what you wrote). Would also say 'Jooz' vice 'Jews' when posting what I thought was his/her satirical way of saying that Salon was being too hard on the poor widdle country of Israel.

So, I don't think it is Realname or 6 pi's or whatever the hell he/she changed their handle to.

Whoever it is, they're a fracking loser & we should just ignore it (and hopefully Glenn or somebody will remove it).

Edwards in 2004 Debate

DanJoaquinOz prompted this response with his impassioned defense of Sen. Edwards.

I was very disappointed by his performance in the debate against Darth Cheney. After Liebersuck's kiss-ass performance in 2000, which I would have assumed Edwards watched to get some idea about how his sith powers are used, Sen. Edwards (pit bull lawyer who sticks it to the man) was very meek (IMO) when debating the very embodiment of 21st cent. Republican evilness.

Right off the bat, Darth lied to his face (saying he had never met him) & he didn't call him on it. Once Cheney saw that, it was more of the same.

As you well know, I will certainly vote for Sen. Edwards if he wins the nomination (and I will send him money). I like what he says this time, like that he apologized for his vote on the Iraq War. I would like him to apologize (in some way) for getting out-debated back then.

P.S. Dan, do like Coopers Beer? Is it considered a decent beer in Oz?

You Know,

Maybe the suicide rates in Australia do spike at xmas and (for whatever reason) they don't here in U.S.A.

Can't we all just get along?

About 'Pro-Life'

Although I agree with Glenn that 'pro-life' is just shorthand here for positions that he's making larger points about, I also think that 'pro-life' is a marketing term employed by the right wing (Orwellian, even when you think that the only 'life' with which they are concerned has not passed thru a vagina), that is analagous to when Lenin's small minority won some minor procedural battle in an early Communist Party congress & immediately christened his faction the 'Bolsheviks' and his much more numerous opponents the 'Menesheviks'.

I'm sure it grated on all Lenin's opponents within the Communist Party to be referred to as the 'minority' (until they actually became the minority and then it was off to the camps with them). It grates on me when I hear the term 'pro-life'.

I do not want us 'Pro-Choicers' (to use the shorthand term, since I acknowledge I'm not for 'choice' in everything) to go the way of the Menesheviks & I'm sure SusanMC & the others who objected don't want that either.

By the way, I took me a while to figure out who the 'HRH' was that various posters were responding to. I'm thinking, why aren't they addressing the points that the Aycharaych person is making? LOL!
