Back in the 60s & early 70s I saw many major fights on network TV. Back then, also, boxing was as major a sport as baseball, football, & basketball (probably bigger than basketball then).

If you want your quality product seen, then you have to put it out in a venue where the most people have a chance to see it, IMO.

That quote was posted under an exerpt of my post in which I sarcastically implied that those poor white folks having to labor under the domination of Ms. Winfrey are probably compensated quite well & that I wished I could get that same level of compensation (from a boss who was white, black, chartreuse, or polka dotted)in my current occupation.

S.H.A.M. Scam Sam, appreciate your response. You obviously have strong feelings regarding Ms. Winfrey & what she does for a living. I myself probably am not as up-to-speed as you might be on her empire.

I do think that she is generally 'liberal' as far as moguls go & could be much, much worse (IMO). To me, when you compare her to creatures such as Mr. Scaife (owns Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - yuck) and others in that catagory, I think that I would rather have her on our side than to be another enthusiastic supporter of the current facist regime we're suffering under.

I applaud you for your moral stand vis-a-vis the job you mentioned. I hope I would be able to turn down a lucrative job from a irresponsible/immoral corporate entity.
