The solution to this grave threat to civility is to simply make the consumption of alcohol illegal again. It's been done before, it can be done again. Did you see the photo's of the abuse at Abu Ghraib? Did you notice the white plastic chair? Just like the one Berg was sitting in. Did you notice the color of the walls? Sure, it's likely to be a coincidence but when you have people that are psychopathic liars and torturers feeding you information it is hard to take that information at face value. When people have a track record of lying it is sometimes easier to believe exactly the opposite of what they say or claim. In the case of this crew, that would be a sure thing.

If you have a party and serve somoeone too much alcohol and they cause an accident you may be held liable and sued and this can also happen to business establishments as well.

Airlines serve alcohol full well knowing that altitude potentiates the effects of alcohol and a third of their passengers are probably medicated anyway and giving them alcohol is just begging for trouble. As enablers and coconspirators in this affair the airlines are also culpable for these types of incidents.

Unless airlines want to hire bouncers and construct a drunk tank on their aircraft they need to come to the realization that their job is to transport people, not get them drunk.
