Gruesome is as gruesome does.
[Read the article: Deadly prose]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Anyone watch any television? How many psychokillers do you get to see on prime-time television every week? How many suicides every week? If you really need more gore you can watch movies
Sure, it is art and entertainment but it is also programming. Bad programming seems to sell more than good programming does.
When people have been treated badly, abused, tormented and ostracized and you add that with the bad programming and consider that this is in the context of someone who is drugged as well, what good results can you expect?
This culture manufactured Cho and there are far more to come especially with the normalisation of violence, terror and revenge throughout all levels of our society from the entertainment industry to the white house.
They should have encouraged the writings because as long as he was writing he had an outlet. That is the preferable way to deal with expiating the bad programming. Others do it by waging war.

We may also surmise
[Read the article: This Modern World]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]We may also surmise that whatever drugs cho was taking also didn't work.
-
could it maybe be DRUGS???
[Read the article: Wait, how did I miss Rush Limbaugh?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]We all know that Limbaugh has had a deep relationship with pharmaceuticals. Could it be that he is now on the same type of pharmaceuticals that Cho was on?

dismay
[Read the article: Who gets to use the N word?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Whe I became an adult, it was a time which the use of that word was over and done with. I was glad not to hear it. The world was a nicer place without it.
Then came the eighties and it is as if the culture had gone all retrograde.
How soon before we are back to the 19th century?
It isn't just bad words, it's the whole matrix that they are hung upon.

just do it and don't ask if it is too late.
[Read the article: Is it too late to start a band at 45?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You have a computer and it takes about 1500 dollars or so to print a thousand cds which is pobably ten times as many as you can sell unless you are phenomenally lucky.
Don't expect to make money, expect to make yourself. The time you took writing that letter would have been better spent making some music and uploading it to the web.
Do you really want to do it? Because if you did why haven't you done it?
I was doing industrial music before it was cool and at best it is just angry disco and at worst idle self-indulgent knob turning and distortion whoring. Anyone can do it. So do it and post it on youtube or something.
Now I play theremin, same thing only some folks have talent and skill. Some of the theremin music online makes industrial sound pretty.
Click on my name to see some of my videos. I don't expect you to send me a check. Forget about making money with your art. Art gives you more than money, it gives you your self.
Feel free to dress your self up with some really bad fashion.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Nah, he doesn't sound like he is on happy pills.
That would be goth.

If Giuliani is elected as President . . .
[Read the article: Giuliani pulls a Cheney]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If Giuliani is elected as President then how soon will toilet plungers be made part of our Department of Homeland Security's arsenal to defend Americans from the terrorists and liberals?
Now would be a good time to buy stock in companies that make toilet plungers.
Jack Bauer - "I'll make him talk! Get me the plunger!!! And turn off those cameras!!!!!"
-
I propose a new Law.
[Read the article: The Pentagon's chronic neglect of Iraq vets]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Before anyone signs up to join the armed forces they should be required to volunteer for a week or two working in a veterans adminstration's hospital or rehabilitation facility. After that, if they still want to sign up, at least they have a clue as to what they are getting into.
That should solve at least one of the problems.

So many wasted ascii characters!
[Read the article: Post-Sanjaya, "Idol" stays true to form]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Will someone please think about the BANDWIDTH!

[Read the article: This little piggy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Let those who have never raised their voices in frustration or anger over what their children did or didn't do cast the first stone.

[Read the article: This little piggy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Are you sure you want to blame psychology on that? Be careful. It was, after all, a branch of science founded by MEN! By blaming psychology, you might actually imply that men are actually responsible for some of society's ills."
Sometimes things which are written are best done anonymously.

Shock Jocking?
[Read the article: Beyond the Multiplex]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Don Imus was canned and now you are providing copy for the morning shock jocks.
Circle of life and all.
What the hell are you people thinking?
On second thought, one does not wish to know.

Who is accountable?
[Read the article: America's dangerous trigger finger]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Saddam Hussein was held accountable for the actions fo people under his command and he was hanged for it - at least that is what they tell us.
Why should George Bush be regarded any differently?
Can Bush be held accountable for anything?
-
WELL DUH!
[Read the article: Churches slam doors on sex offenders]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Is an organisation really being unfair and discriminatory when it refuses to allow predators to prey upon the flock?
Maybe they should also revise that "get out of jail free" card which is used to convert and save souls.
Why is the onus always directed at the target of a psychopath's ill beavior rather than the psychopath itself? This game being played is always skewed against a victim and that strikes me as being a tad evil.
