Different people have different cultures

Different people have different cultures and those things to which they have become accustomed to are considered normal and right and those things to which they have not become accustomed to are considered bizarre, foreign and wrong.

People generally lack the ability to see themselves as others do. They lack the ability to that the logical structure of what is going on and swap the variables so they can see if it makes sense with a different context.

Is all the effort and money spent on make-up, fashion, hairdos and nail polish any more psychologically or economically more liberating than modest clothing?

Just who is being forced to jump through hoops and perform tricks to establish their value as a person?

And yes, this is the MEDIAs constant anti-arab undercurrent as we really don't care much about women being oppressed elsewhere because we don't want to convince people that we should bomb the hell out of Japan. China, India, Thailand or Halliburton because they oppress women in a manner to which we find incompatible with the way which we oppress women.

Men are oppressed too, just don't point that out to them as they cannot handle the truth without some risk of going off their rocker.

BTW many chemicals in make-up cause cancer so keep using it and support the industry.

@Brightstar

Mob rule? Wouldn't that have been a flogging and a stoning?

I call misogyny, and it isn't just oozing out either.

You like it when people get tased to death too?

Thanks to the most gracious and fair minded King.

That's why we don't like to have kings anymore - that wait is disturbing and disappoining.

Yip Yip! Arf Arf!

Chris Matthews is a sycophantic lapdog.

Lieberman is perhaps the finest Senator the great State of Israel has ever produced.

The Media generally are

The Media generally are sycophantic lapdogs who squeal like starving piglets at the the prospect of suckling from the corporate war-mongering establishment's teat and would ignore or ostracize any who woud displease or question our benevoknet rulers, owners and deciderers.

By the way, you forgot to mention Dennis Kucinich.

All you doubters should be ashamed!

All this paranoia and suspicion is unseemly. If we cannot trust President George Bush and the White House Staff with important videotape evidence concerning abusive interrogation techniques, then who can we trust?

I am pretty sure it will all turn out to be a misunderstanding and the tapes will either be found in a VCR somewhere or will have been found not to have existed at all in the first place.

Where is the trust?

Media consolidation is a GOOD thing

Just look what Clear Channel did for the music business!

Go get 'em Steve!

Congrats on putting that fan site down.

You know I have been seeing lots of Apple computers on television shows and in the movies. I think you had better sic your lawyers on those production companies. Wouldn't want the public to get any wrong ideas.

I love my G5 tower - it crashes at least twice a day and i have 3 GB of RAM.

BLAH BLAH BLAH!

Yes, and you can find our own home grown idiots who say we should nuke them.

Some of them may be running for president.

@Juliebird

I get the joke. Let me explain. Anonymous really ISN'T an anti-semite.

Eh? Get it now?

Hilarious isn't it?

Anonymous just wants you to think that they are an anti-semite.

That is a million dollar punchline.

Because you don't.

No one else does either.

That is funny.

Everytime anonymous makes another anti-semitic post it just gets even funnier.

Repeat - goto top.

@John of Ventura

"What does it say...

That he is a politician or a diplomat.

Worried Plutocrats

Even the most diehard warbucker has to realize how disappointing, shallow and unappetizing the mainstream candidates are and they are afraid someone like Paul or Kucinich may make a third party run so they are establishing one of their own as THE third party candidate who they will give all the press attention that should be going to the only two real candidates, Paul and Kucinich.

They gave Perot all the PR he needed with good results for them.

If Ron Paul does well

If Ron Paul does well, the warbucking media will simple not report it.

Fox would rather give us a crossdresser, a bible thumper, a pill freak, an actor who fancies himself the next ronald reagan and Mitt Romney, because Ron Paul is just too damned unaaceptable to the psychopathic war-mongering lizard folk who rule over us.

Apple can afford lawyers.

The RIAA isn't interested in anything but predation upon soft and easy targets and it is piracy.

I stopped buying cds unless it is from an artist at a local venue.

if you treat your customers as prey, you don't deserve them.

Stop buying corporate music.

Plus, what they are generally pushing is crap anyway.

Brain cooking is worse than traffic.

Taffic is going to be bad anyway. What is the real problem is how this society is going to be able to function with so many electronically addicted and brain damaged individuals?

It isn't uncommon to see people working two cellphones at the same time and even crackheads wouldn't be smoking two pipes at the same time.

People are getting remarkably stupider and less functional. The plus side is that they are totally unaware of it.

Go ahead, hold a microwave transmitter up against your head or gonads for a couple of hours a day, but a sticking your head in a microwave oven would be quicker and cheaper - which would be bad for business since they can't bill you for that.

Lucky the Nazis weren't that clever.

Oh wait, THEY ARE.

Quoting Howie Mandel is NOT cool.

one should be illegal, one should be legal and one should be poured into a wine glass.

didn't phil hartman's wife go on the happy pills a week before the murder suicide?
