The Word
[Read the article: Is rape off-limits for laughs?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If you think that rape, burning kittens alive, shooting someone in the face, setting people on fire, shooting and killing a wounded Iraqi who is writhing on the ground in pain without a weapon, and such is funny, then you are most likely a psychopath.
They are a very high percentage in the population nowadays. There is something wrong with them and there is nothing you can do about them. You don't even want to label them as mentally ill because that makes the rest of the crazy people look bad.
Now as to the Aristocrats, all of the obscenity that precedes the punch line is really not funny and is only the set up for attributing all of these acts and moral outrages to the ruling class which is funny because it is true. The Aristocrats is in fact a simple and concise distillation of "120 days of Sodom" by de Sade. The humor is in the indictment of the aristocracy and established order - the onus is directed against the rich and powerful.
Somethings can be used to set up the punchline but if you think that they are the gag then you really aren't getting the joke. Too many people don't "get things" and that is why it is prudent to avoid certain subjects. Monkey see and monkey do and this is the planet of the apes and desensitizing them to the hurt and harm that others inflict upon others is like feeding chum to sharks near a popular beach because of its entertainment value.
But that is show biz.

I am relieved.
[Read the article: For Romney, a double fault on illegal immigrants]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Now that he has fired the company, he has demonstrated morals and character appropriate for the highest office in the land.

Tired of Mitt
[Read the article: Romney's gift to the opposition ad writers]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hypocrisy from politicians? I am shocked and outraged.

Bad Faith?
[Read the article: American politics in bad faith]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Bad Faith? Sure!
But what about that HAIR???
It is near damn perfect!
Doesn't that more than make up for bad faith?

Cat Ballou
[Read the article: "The Golden Compass"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Lee Marvin's Kid Sheleen portrayed by a CGI hooch-swilling polar bear?
The mind boggles.
The pitch:
"It's like Cat Ballou, except with a polar bear, and some Star Wars Lord of the Rings and Neverending Story thrown in the mix and we will give it a Brazil and Dune look. We will make millions!"
I think dust is a metaphor for something illegal. This string theory stuff has the authorities quaking in their underwear and if they were not so whacked on happy pills, they would surely bury this threat to the established order. The very idea of a child in possession of a bullshit detector is anathema - those things are a threat to national security.
How come the monkey wasn't blue with wings?
"What a world! What a world!"

Shame?

The truth.
[Read the article: Bush's real lie about Iran]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It isn't about nukes, terrorism or the problem in Iraq.
Iran wants to sell its oil for Euros instead of Dollars.
Iraq got invaded for the same reason. The petro dollar scam is under threat from Iran and Venezuela.
Plus the defense industry can make more big bucks, but that is just profit, not cause.

arf arf! yip yip!
[Read the article: Rudy survives the Russert crucible]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Tim Russert is a lapdog.
Barbara Walters and Larry King are more hard hitting and exciting.
Katie Couric could do what Tim Russert does and no one would notice anything different except the face and the voice.
"We never forget who we are working for - our sponsors."

A Minor Setback
[Read the article: The GOP's Iran option is off the table]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Democrats are just as guiity and pretending that this is a "Republican" problem is disingenuous.
So what if they lied about Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran? The Democrats are not going to do anything about it because they are part of the problem. The war machine owns both parties and the major news media so the same stuff will be put into play once the public has forgotten the lies which the war machine's tools are going to bury and coverup with overwhelming propaganda which in this country always seems to work just fine.
The public will believe anything they see on television and that is why the war machine controls it.
The only two anti-war candidates are ignored by the war machine's press except for foolish ridicule and insults appropriate to snobbish cliques in high school and elementary school- which is about as mature as the average American gets now days.
"We never forget who we are working for - the War Machine"
That is what television is about.

You Gonna Get Raped.
[Read the article: Lawsuit: Rape coverup by Halliburton/KBR ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]There is an iconic image which gets posted frequently on the web with that phrase below the face of a man. That man's face needs to be replaced with Dick Cheney's face and on top the word HALLIBURTON should be displayed.
That is how history should remember Mr. Cheney.
To bad tarring and feathering is no an option for todays reprobates, carpetbaggers, scallywags and scoundrels.
