Keppy

My ex was a nurse and I used the Nurse's Guide to Drugs, then I went to the library both at the NIH and NIDA as they are local to me. It was only after I had become knowledgable about drugs did I happen to watch the rerelease of the Exorcist and notice that it was about drugs, not demons.

How do you learn to focus and not be distracted, as if only the defective have that problem? I used meditation and yoga and only did it for enough time to learn how to focus and control my mind.

I was distracted in school and bored out of my gourd at times and if they had the diagnosis back then I am certain that they would have diagnosed me as well. They tried to get one of our kids on the stuff - we knew better.

If taking drugs works for you that is your choice as an adult. A child should not be drugged until all other options have been tried.

The effects of drugs are often influenced by expectation, set and setting. Sometimes a placebo is just as good as the real thing.

If you use yoga and meditation you will be able to make your own drugs within the constraints of your own biology.

No profit in that.

Any art, task or skill that requires concentration and focus will also work as long as you engineer positive feedback into the process.

Cary has a link on ADD - read those articles. I am not so far out in left field as you assume. It just looks that way from far right field.

Never mind the side effects - don't read that piece of paper whatever you do.

Now about thorazine and that horror movie - look up the side effects and then look at the movie - phenothiazine is an insecticide AND a tranquilizer - and you trust these people?

Keep buying crap!!!!

How long before you lose it, drop it, step on it, or otherwise render it inoperable?

No matter what it is, it is a temporay device and you are expected to buy at least another one every year.

Keep buying crap!!!!!

The Chinese economy depends on it!

A real bakelite Ma Bell phone lasted about 30 or 40 years and didn't need a battery.

No profit in that.

sub-vocalization

Yes that would work fine, except that then people around you wouldn't know that you are talking to someone else.

How is that going to give someone a boost of self esteem?

Instead of a little blinking LED I think a strobe light would be far more effective.

Now if we could only get something like those spinning wheel covers that make the car look like it's movng when it is standing still and attach that to their heads or mouths - that would be way cool.

Why haven't they incorporated laser beams and holograms?

I can't wait to see what the future holds!

You know those ads in Minority Report? What if everyone had holographic billboards surrounding them as they walk into your coffeshop or grocery store? Wouldn't that be cool?

Anyone know where I can get a hot pink zoot suit with lime green lapels and an lcd matrix with bluetooth and a blue-ray dvd player on the sleeve?

I don't think enough people are gawking at me now.

The future is so bright we are all gonna need shades.
