Original article: The "retarded" renaissance

So let's pretend that no one is stupid, slow, backwards or wrong.

Bush is a genius, and so is Congress, and the mainstream media and all those pundits, journalsimists, shills, propagandists and newsreaders.

Anyone who disagrees with them are just "unmutual" and "troublesome".

Look at the economy, the war, the state of health care, the state of the media, the quality of television programming, the consumer society, weird chemicals in the food, the wholesale drugging of America and tell me that a group of mentally handicapped people wouldn't do a lot better than the people who are in charge.

People in this country are BONE STUPID. Yesterday I got on a bus that had no air conditioning and all the windows were up and it was at least 15 degrees hotter in the bus than it was outside. No one was smart enough to open a window. Asking someone to open a window got no response whatsoever. FInally I got a window seat and opened one - 15 minutes later.

Stupid people believe politicians, both democrat and republican. Stupid people do not care about war, shipping jobs overseas, healthcare or the world.

How much "mental illness" can be distilled down to just being stupid? NAMI and other object to the word "crazy" - but they have no problem with the label "mentally ill". Well the word "Ill" means "bad". So they prefer "mentally bad" to "crazy"? Tell me that isn't stupid. I prefer dealing with crazy people to the ones that are mentally ill.

The problem is that stupid people do not know that they are stupid and even smart people don't know when they are being stupid. Letting them know is only being socially responsible.

We need more social responsibility and less political correctness. The country may be too stupid to fix at this point.

It isn't like they can just hire a new editor or something.

The lead time on educating the population not to be idiots, morons and imbeciles is a good 20 years at best.

Unfortunately, that would be bad for business. Business as usual requires stupid people. That is why the country has a problem, not that the stupid people notice.

I didn't see that movie, i figured it wasn't for smart people.

Was it?

You know there is very little that separates us from the other apes and that which does is little to be proud about..

Just let us ALL agree not to discuss the war.

After all, all that money wasted on waging war against Afghanistan and Iraq which both parties supported and funded couldn't have any impact on our economy whatsoever.

New economic advisors with fresh degrees should solve everything. Then we will be able to spend even more money on war and promoting democracy throughout the world, like in Afghanistan and Iraq.

On the Big Rock Candy Mountain! Cloud Cuckoo Land and the Land of Cockaigne.

Yeah, those Republicans, all they want to talk about is moose hunting. We democrats are way above that.

/has the new shipment of heroin from Afghanistan hit the streets yet?

The Lying Game

Like George W. Bush, Obama and Biden have to lie. Because if they told the truth about their policies, they'd lose the election.

/see how easy that was

/swap the variables and it works just as well.

Start more wars and reinstate the DRAFT.

Shhhhhh! Keep quiet.

correction

They get some smaller ones instead of the 2 ton ones.

The next President is sure to give them the bigger ones.

Still, what good are bombs if you don't use them, like in Syria.

What will Russia give the Iranians in exchange?

Something for our Aircraft Carriers?

They have that covered already.

Should we leave them there as easy close targets while Israel does its thing?

Yo! War Room!

Israel gets 1000 GBU-28 bunker-busters.

Can everyone say "Let's Bomb Iran!"

Oh wait!

We cannot talk war, not in the "War Room" - that would be INSANE!

Joan W

In the corner of a bar in Pacific Heights, Camille Paglia and Glenn Greenwald are discussing Gnosticism and Rove's campaign techniques while sharing a large order of nachos. Three televisions in the bar are tuned to MSNBC, CNN and CSPAN.

Joan Walsh, Alex Koppelman, Rebecca Traister, David Talbot and Katharine Mieszkowski walk into the bar and sit down at a table. A waitress wlaks over to them and asks them what they want to drink.

They all say in unison, "First, can you change the channels on the televisions to E! please?"

All joking aside

I could use some extra income - too bad SNL doesn't hire comedy writers.
