[Read the article: Telling lies over good soldiers' graves]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"Most of these reforms have been reversed by The Current Occupant and his Republican predecessors."

Yes and I think that we can all agree that Clinton was one of the better Republican Presidents we have had lately who proudly undid many of the liberal efforts of that last liberal in the white house, Richard Nixon.

  • When the truth isn't acceptable lies are.

[Read the article: Telling lies over good soldiers' graves]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Well they cannot speak the truth when it comes to our fallen soldiers - that would be insane.

Those that are still living have guns and presumably know how to use them.

  • It's just a joke.

[Read the article: Not exactly what we were thinking]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The word "Liberal" is now a pejorative which means what the neocons say it does totally without any regard to its true meaning. It's just a name calling slap back at the neocons.

Then again, maybe its the Prozac.

  • No bees in my neighborhood

[Read the article: Who killed the honeybees?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I live in Rockville, Md. (sniperville) just north of DC and I haven't seen any honeybees in my neighborhood since the early eighties.

In 1999 i saw a wild colony at southeastern university in dc and thought their presence to be somewhat remarkable.

When i was a kid, honeybees where everywhere and getting stung was a common occurence since i walked around barefoot a lot.

I also have noticed a decline in bumble bees - i saw about a dozen last year. my yard has flowers, I go on hikes in the woods and i go to the local arboretums. the bees are just not there anymore.

Something is happening and it isn't good.

  • sure sounds like a psychopath to me!

[Read the article: Can I kill a cat if it poops in my yard?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Sounds like that peeper guy on boston legal too. I think someone is pulling your leg. Most psychopaths are not that good at comedy and i think that is what the letter writer is doing.

But if it is a sincere letter I think that the poop of cats is just the tip of the iceberg as far as the threats to the well being of his children. What of the spoor of birds, squirrels and rabbits? Just because it isn't big enough to catch your eye doesn't mean that it isn't there. Poop. Poop of all kinds. What can you do to stop these rude beasts? Then there are insects, hundreds of species and thousands upon thousands of them. In your yard. Pooping. Indiscriminately. With no regard to proper hygiene or privacy.

Think of the children. At the very least dozens of mammals, hundreds of birds and tens of thousands of insects using you lawn and yard as their toilet. If I were you, I'd lock my door and stay inside. Let the kids watch Discovery Channel or Animal Planet and keep them safe inside.

    Good luck!

  • liberal

[Read the article: Nixon knows best]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Nixon was the last liberal president.

  • That's just Liberal Talk

[Read the article: Bush's blank check]

If we don't give all of our money to the defense contractors then the terrorists will win.

We will never surrender to terrorism. Please raise my taxes now.

  • why pearl?

[Read the article: "A Mighty Heart"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How many lives have been destroyed by this war?

Why is Pearl's death any more important than all the others?

Why should we believe the details of this story any more than the death of Paul Tillman or the heroism of Jessica Lynch?

The news media has been just as complicit and deceitful as the administration, the intelligence agencies or the tail that wags the dog.

Pearl may have been a fine and decent man, it doesn't matter. He chose to go there and he chose a profession that made him an obvious target. If he wasn't a part of an intellignece operation then he was clearly suicidal. Chutzpah, arrogance and hubris seem a lot more common in "news professionals" than suicidal behaviors.

I didn't believe the media lies before the war and I am not about ready to start believing the lies they tell now to make themselves look like heroes.

If Pearl was actively opposed to the war then he would be a hero.

  • war is the new peace

[Read the article: The rigid pro-war ideology of the foreign policy community]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

nazis, fascists, and defense contractors love war and they pay people to help them sell it.

  • The radical left's conspiracy

[Read the article: This Modern World]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That is pretty close to the truth although you focus on the wrong parties. After being infiltrated by the government a project was initiated to infiltrate the government and more effectively manipulate those in power to do that which would lead to their downfall.

Remember pigasus? That pig was the prototype for the Bush presidency.

Don't believe it? We have guys running for president in BOTH parties, much to the chagrin of the keeper's of the faith. Respect for government, corporations and news media is at an all time low and the war on terror is generally acknowledged to be a phony scam to rip off taxpayers and sell weaponry.

Give them enough rope and they will hang themsleves.

  • So it is all Bush's fault!

[Read the article: The waning power of the War Myth]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So the chief scapegoaterer is going to get scapegoated and then peace and flowers will blossom everywhere.

    Fat chance.

As long as Lockheed Martin, Boening, Halliburton and their myriad of subcontractors want our tax dollars this will just keep going on with a switch from a liar and war shill of one party to a liar and war shill of the other party - Hilllary Clinton or Barack Obama as if it would make any difference whatsoever.

Al Qaeda and "terrorism" is just a job security totem to scare Americans into forking over more money and if we run out, we ill just borrow it from the Chinese.

Keep in mind that whatever the public opinions are, they don't care and will keep up this con game until they are physically stopped.

  • Scooter Libby was no "fink".

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

As soon as the plea is announced the rabid dogs of the so called news media speculate as to the likelyhood of Vick ratting out his brethren dog fighters and if this will end up with him getting the reward of a "fink".

Well, Scooter Libby didn't rat anyone out, no sir, he is no FINK and he gets off scott free. Never mind that outing a CIA agent resulted in the deaths of American agents and intelligence assets.

Yeah, dog fighting is a serious crime and treason is just what's for dinner.

    I don't approve of either.
