Am I An American??

My maternal grandmother was born on Ft. Peck Indian Reservation in 1899. All of my fathers family,, plus my siblings and myself were born in Atchison, Kansas.

So what is the problem? In 2003 I contacted the KS Dept of Vital Statistics requesting a copy of my birth certificate via the internet and received the new document. This copy does not list the number of siblings..living or dead, my mothers signature, the time of my birth, the Dr.s signature, nor the race of my parents. It was printed by a laser printer. With the amount of missing info plus the fact that no one dug up a 1959 era Underwood typewriter to pound it out on I am afraid that I now may not be a real American.

This is keeping me awake nights and I am now afraid that INS will be showing up at any moment to have me deported. Can anyone help me get real government document in case the birthers uncover this travesty???

Dare We Hope

Do I dare believe that the Constitution and Bill of Rights are peaking into the USA to see if there is room for our founding ideals in America again?

And, as a previous poster stated, the neo-con, Palanite, religious reich, birther fring will explode at the thought of liberty and justice for ALL.

@something stinks

Since you brought up the birther bs in this thread, I have a story for you.

My maternal grandmother was born on Fort Peck Indian Reservation in 1899. My fathers family had been hanging out in the Kansas Territory since before government record keeping. Dad, my siblings, and myself were all born in Atchison, Kansas. In 2003 I contacted the appropriate KS agency and requested a "certified" copy of my birth certificate. The new one does not contain my birth weight, time of birth, the race of my parents, the number of siblings (living and dead), or the signatures of my mom or the doctor. It was also printed by a modern laser printer. The State of Kansas has left me in limbo. I want to know why they did not use a 1959 era Underwood typewriter to bang out such an esteemed document. And why were the afore mentioned "vital statistics" left off? (No doubt the paper used was made in the wrong century.)

I tremble at the thought that the birthers will discover this travesty.

I hope some real American demands an investigation so we can see if this incident is in any way related to the fiasco with Hawaii record keeping that allowed a black man to be lawfully elected POTUS.

The Cause?

Members of Congress, with the exception of Dr. Paul, have no use for the Constitution, Bill of Rights, of the rule of law.

Representing the public is on the bottom of the priority list. Lining their pockets is why our rights have been squashed.

Murderer Worship

Lord V. is correct in bringing up Mary Jo.

If it is such an honour to be a murderer lets turn all of them loose. Maybe give others a chance to shine.....not just the murderer named Teddy Kennedy. Fair is fair......
