I would like to bless Mr. Birkenhead with a daily subscription to "A Message From the Universe". He deserves it!

Thoughts become things. Be careful what you think.

  • I've never seen an episode

[Read the article: "The Sopranos" goes dark]

I think it's interesting that last night I discussed how this program would end with my significant other. She had watched in the beginning and I have never. We don't currently have HBO; but we were not immune to speculating on how it would end. How could you avoid hearing and reading about this momentous ending. We were in agreement though, that with all the problems of the world, it was truly sad that this was so important to so many.

I am not denegrating, just commenting on all the commotion. I too wanted to know how it would end, even though I couldn't bear the violence. How is that?

  • Shoot the messenger

Hey folks - shoot the messenger!

The real point is that if you investigate, you will find that the president has signed treaties with foreign governments without receiving approval from Congress (called agreements); set up an entire bureaucracy within the department of Commerce without any approval or advice from the legislature (if you check you will find that the SPP reports directly to the president); and done this completely under the radar of American public opinion and knowledge.

We ARE being manipulated by forces far greater than our esteemed president - indeed we have and are already giving away much of our sovereignty.

Wake up and Google “security and prosperity” and read!

  • Go to the source

Here's the source of the problem. For generations, Mexico has been outsourcing their social problems to the United States.

To me it would make much more sense to deal with the source of the problem - the corrupt system that permeates the Mexican economy.

I understand that about twelve families run Mexico. The poverty south of the border is incredible. Who can blame these poor souls for wanting to better their lives and the lives of their families.

To me, it would make much more sense for a compassinate federal government to involve itself with fixing the problem at source. I believe that if we took half of the money that illegal immigration is costing this country (billions), we could fix or at least greatly reduce the problem.

Surely there is the creativity in this country to do this.

    Joe
