No liberal of sound mind...

would voluntarily sit out the 2008 election. That's BS.

Who do you think you're kidding?

Monday, January 14, 2008 05:19 PM

@dfield

He claims that he tried to discuss his plan with the Obama campaign and they said they didn't want to be responsible for either approving or disapproving it. WFT? Why on earth not?

If that decision is indicative of the decision-making abilities of the people Obama will call on if he makes it to the Oval Office, then...

Okay...a stretch...but here goes: Obama's Attorney General on determining if waterboarding is legally torture: "I just didn't want to be responsible for either saying 'yes' or saying 'no.' We'll leave that for history to decide."

The "NO SMOKING" signs will come down if Obama wins!

Jee whiz, all this talk about cocaine use in the past...

Hey, folks, it's not about the past, it's about the future. Obama's all about change.

If he doesn't kick his Marlboro habit, the "no smoking" signs will be banished.

Now, that's real progress. That's change.

:-)

Did Kerry know about Obama's dubious ties to Tony Rezko before endorsing?

Man oh man. I wonder if Obama is going to get a free pass -- as Mr. Clean -- on his involvement with Antoin "Tony" Rezko?

Obama has admitted to a "bone-headed mistake." Give me a fuckin' break.

If Hillary Clinton or John Edwards said something similar, the maniacs in the media would be all over them like flies on shit.

Go to ABC -- Brian Ross for details on this story.

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

The big story today is:

Journalists (using the term loosely) are irrelevant and they can't effin' stand it.

Deal with it.

Tuesday, January 8, 2008 08:35 PM

Oh?

I thought the Clintons were so mean and insensitive that no one was loyal to them.

Yet, here is Maggie William willingly volunteering her expertise and counsel to Hillary.

Give me a break.

Tuesday, January 8, 2008 02:13 PM

Yes, Obama has gotten a free ride...

...and the media maniacs have pushed Hillary to the back of the bus.

A pox on all of you!

Tuesday, January 8, 2008 08:07 AM

It is a fairy tale...

Obamamania is a media-propelled fairy tale. And like many of the classic fairy tales, the media alters the "story" for their own purposes.

I'm expecting a very unhappy ending.

Original article: Be careful what you ask for

We, the Sheeple is real...

There is such a thing as herd mentality and we're seeing it in action now. Anyone who denies that the herd behavior is real -- in today's vernacular, commonly referred to as "the sheeple" -- is denying evidence of this phenomenon in human conduct.

There is ample evidence of "herding" -- look at sporting events, mob violence, stock market crashes/bubbles, and everyday decision making such as how voters form their opinions and judgments during a campaign.

If one reads the comments at various websites, it is obvious that many people make their decisions -- and change their decisions! -- on whom they'll support for president on very flimsy, non-rational cues, at the drop of a hat.

Not to get anything started, but Hitler and Stalin relied heavily on herd behavior to amass their powers.

A reminder...

Bill Clinton didn't win Iowa or New Hampshire in '92.

Independent? I wish the press corp would be INDEPENDENT!

The biggest losers in this horse race are the traveling press corps who impose their friggin' petty opinions on the American electorate, dissing candidates they don't like because of their coiffed hair or imagined shrillness, doing everything possible to American Idolize this most serious presidential election.

There's one caucus under our belts, and the media act as though it's all over except the acceptance speech.

Boy, those press folks must really need self-validation the way they maul viable candidates, then congratulate themselves on their brilliant analyses once they drive the American sheeple into submission by their incessant opinions on who fucked up on one response to one question in one debate on one day, totally ignoring all those other days in a candidate's life.

It's effin' depressing.

Original article: Listening to Obama

The Changer-in-Chief wannabee...

certainly has a lot of screaming, vitriolic supporters.

Now, just how does Obama plan to implement his message of change and hope, when his fervent supporters are hell bent on pissing off everyone who wants more substance from the presidential contender?

Are we heading towards the winter our our discontent?

Hope springs eternal.

Then comes the fall.

@fightthetheocracy!

I think I read that the Daily Show is back on January 7th.

But, maybe yours was a rhetorical question.....?

Oscar Wilde was right

This $200 per vote estimate is illustrative of:

"The cynic knows the price of everything and the value of nothing."

Sorry folks, but....

Ralph Nader is irrelevant.

Most people don't give a damn what Nader has to say.

Wednesday, January 2, 2008 07:22 AM

Assuming for the moment that Huckabee wins the nomination...

if he were to pick Ron Paul as his running mate, the GOP would win the White House because their combined supporters include a wide swath of no-nothing, fully committed voters.

Don't confuse their supporters with facts!

Original article: Obama's European problem

Barack Obama on CNN exposes himself....

as the amateur he is, who is not ready for the national or international stage.

I don't have a link, but I saw Obama stammer and stutter...I,I,I,I,I,....er I,I....blah blah blah and make a fool of himself when Wolf Blitzer asked him about Axelrod's comments about Hillary's actions regarding the assassination of Bhutto.

Go, Joe Conason! For focusing more slight on Obama's record, or lack thereof.

We need to know.

Original article: Obama's European problem

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing...

I would suggest it's past time for the folks who continue to blather about Hillary's vote to read her exact words about the resolution o Iraq:

Original article: Which Democrat is a winner?

Ohmigod! Windsurfing is for pussies...

I wonder how many of the media gasbags have ever tried to windsurf.

Windsurfing is a heckuva lot more challenging and demanding than clearing mesquite.

The media "chainsaw massacre" of Kerry for windsurfing -- and we ended up with The Shrub doing manly things.

Oh, my head aches. I need to take a Fuckitall!

Original article: Obama's European problem

It's a matter of priorities....

Joe Conason has clearly pointed out the fact that Barack Obama, as a U.S. senator with a subcommittee leadership role, apparently decided that running for president was a higher priority than preparing himself for the job.

Frankly, we've had disastrous results from the current untraveled pResident. We don't need another one who is all hat and no travel.
