just afraid the Pennsylvania primary might go to Hillary, so they're trying their damnedest to paint her as a spoiler.
The primary season ends in June. But, if Hillary tanks in Pennsylvania, then she should step down.
Until then...the SDs should just STFU -- for the good of the party and the country.
Hillary Clinton's campaign had circulated similar material that has been distributed by AP, Reuters, the NYT, Yahoo, msnbc, etc. rather than citing "right-wing materials?"
As the New York Times pointed out, Obama folded his arms and looked on, (smugly, IMO) as retired Air Force general (McPeak) who is one of his leading military advisers, forcefully suggested that President Clinton was akin to McCarthy. So, a popular 2-term Democratic president can be likened to McCarthy by an Obama surrogate while he's standing next to him, and that's okay?
Recall that in February, McPeak was forced to retract his comment that Obama "doesn't go on television and have crying fits" The Obama campaign in February said those comments "crossed the line," but it offered no retraction to McPeak's latest comments.
Obama's surrogates do his dirty work for him. But, he's as dirty as they are.
Regarding definitions of lecturer and professor and truth and fiction, perhaps Senator Obama uses the same dictionary as his Chicago friend, William Ayers, does -- in a NYT article published (ironically) on September 11, 2001, the former Weatherman Ayers was quoted:
''Is this, then, the truth?,'' he writes. ''Not exactly. Although it feels entirely honest to me.''
But why would someone want to read a memoir parts of which are admittedly not true? Mr. Ayers was asked.
''Obviously, the point is it's a reflection on memory,'' he answered. ''It's true as I remember it.''

BTW, I asked a tenured professor about the difference/similarities between "lecturer" and "professor" and the opinion was that to claim to be a professor when one was a lecturer is, at the least, resume inflation. Also, the principle of academic freedom does not apply to lecturers.
Thank you for reminding everyone!
I know it doesn't matter..
but I can't stand how everyone says "the other candidates weren't even on the ballot", which is completely accurate, but no one ever mentions that they removed their own names.
But, it should be pointed out that Chris Dodd didn't remove his name, nor did Mike Gravel (well...who cares) and Dennis Kucinich didn't take action quick enough to remove his name, so it's as though Clinton's name was the only one on the ballot.
so it's NOT as though Clinton's name was the only one on the ballot.
At almost every rally, some true believer shouts out in the middle of Obama's speech, "I love you." And each time, the candidate responds with just the slightest wisp of irritation over the interruption as he says, "I love you back." It is a small thing, rarely noticed. But buried within this exchange of affection is the sense that Obama has perhaps a healthy detachment from his own charismatic appeal.
Gawdalmighty! Conflating this exchange into a politician being comfortable with his "own charismatic appeal"!!
No, this type of exchange is the stuff of entertainers on stage.
A spokesman for Colombia's President Álvaro Uribe said the ambassador met with Mr. Penn to discuss the bilateral agenda. "There have also been meetings with the advisers to the campaigns of Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain," he said. "It's the embassy's job to explain Colombia's reality."
A spokesman for McCain said a team of policy advisers met recently with 20 Latin American ambassadors, including Colombia's. An Obama spokesman and the Colombian Embassy spokeswoman both said the Colombian ambassador had never met with an Obama representative.

Penn said he was unsuccessful in convincing Valdez to hand over the donkey, adding, "We don't know who's more stubborn-- Juan Valdez or his mule"
Alan Greenspan's advance ranked second only to the more than $10 million paid to former President Bill Clinton for his memoir, "My Life," which was published in June 2004.
Pope John Paul II received an advance of $8.5 million in 1994 for his book, "Crossing the Threshold of Hope."
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton received an $8 million advance for her memoir, "Living History," published in 2003.
With all due respect, Eleanor Roosevelt's lineage does not include the DELANO line. Franklin's mother was Sara DELANO Roosevelt.
Anna Rebecca Hall Roosevelt (March 17, 1863 - December 7, 1892) was the mother of former First Lady of the United States, Eleanor Roosevelt.
But aside from that, I grow wearier by the day of all the hatred directed at the Clintons. I believe it says more about the haters, than it does about the Clintons.
...how about a story on the fact that Elizabeth Edwards favors Hillary Clinton's health plan over Obama's and McCain's?
Perhaps, Alberto could get a teaching job at the Escuela de las Américas (now called the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation).

Obama's words are (once again) based in conditional rhetoric. If one reads his words closely, his only "promise" is to review what is "already out there."
What a crock o-crapola! His words are campaign rhetoric and nothing more.
Well, duh.
Obama taught Constitutional Law so I should hope to kiss a duck that he has the right sentiment that nobody is above the law.
