Let us not forget...

...that it is not only the sick that can be on the hook.

My mom (god rest her soul) had Medicare and a stroke. She lingered for 6 weeks at a stroke specialty center before succumbing to a heart attack leaving well over 100K unpaid.

Then the hospital started sending me, and my sister bills and phone calls. I was warned by our lawyer never to respond to any of these as that will be construed as accepting responsibility for payment and then you are on the hook for the 100K.

I don't know about you, but I do not have a 100K laying around collecting dust.

So even if you are just standing in the same room and they get your name--you can be ruined.

It is a sick system that our wonderful nation has enshrined for those without.

Don't you people pay attention?

We have just been served a 60-80 day course of green shoots, good bank stress, and not-plummeting-as-fast-off-the-cliff MSM campaign.

Of course any good monkey is going to start eating banannas again and forgoe the nits and grubs route. We are through the worst of it.

Nothing for the better has changed in the numbers--just the mindset.

Uncage a large human eating beast in your office....

Always a sure-fire pick me up.

Original article: Electric cars are coming!

That 300 mile limit is misleading...

...cut that number in half or more and you are probably closer to reality--because you have to get back home to where the plug is...

...either that or you are going to have to plug in to your buddies house and run up his electric bill--he'll appreciate that I'm sure...

....or get a hotel and plug in there--don't know too many hotel managers who will allow you to run an extension cord out to the parking lot though...

...or haul around a gas generator--that makes total sense!

...the whole idea is packed with these little gotchas...

Until there is someway to charge the car away from the house for non urban types--you will always need gas guzzlers or hybrids...

Original article: Stop "Hillary-care" now!

Let the Market Decide

Offer the low cost Govt plan, which will draw people away. Then if the plan is as bad as the kooks say it is--people will return to their private plans.

The problem is; however, Republicans are only pro-market when the market lines thier pockets. They are not pro-market when the market actually does its job and seeks the best cost and efficiency.

Somebody on here said once...

That this behavior is at best conspiratorial at worst pathological...

Methinks pathological--there is something clinically wrong with these people. And there are a lot of them and it is consistant.

Combat Arms...

...pure, killing rage is what causes this.

At some point Needham turned of the human and turned on the machine with the woman he killed. And he pounded away until she quit moving.

Those who were not in combat arms have literally no clue and should just STFU.

Original article: Obama meets with House GOP

It's just bowling, really.

BO is building capital in the public opinion markets by reaching out and getting it slapped.

Then when he chooses--he will spend that capital--using the bully pulpit--to marginalize the GOP.

Classic take-down move--goad them into thier patterned behavior and then pull back the curtain.

Set 'em up and knock 'em down.

It's way deeper than what you are seeing...

Any of you know these families:

Fletcher

Smith

Fisher

...uhhhh...ok that's all I can think of right now...but think about it...

....how long had the family/tribe been smithing/fletching/fishing till they owned the damned name--a while I bet...it's what humans do--pass on what worked for them to thier kids (and friends)...

Not that it's right or fair--it just is.

Original article: Get rich slow!

@jomar03

...I think the conventional wisdom on this is that your pre-retirement income will be higher (and thus taxed at a higher rate) than your retirement income...

...at least that is the way I understood it...anyone??

My advice:

Never allocate money to a depreciating asset--period. The begged question is for you to figure out.

Speaking of Socialism...

...isn't the traditional nuclear (nookuuler) family one of the most fundamental socialist concepts there are??

I mean if we are true capitalists--shouldn't we dissolve the family unit because the adult's hard work benefits the children who do nothing but consume without giving back a thing until they themselves are adults??

Let's be consistant here all you family firsters...kids live off the sweat of others...the definition of a socialist populace. Ta hell with them--let them support themselves for once!

As to the fruit fly--it was a dogwhistle comment for the frothing and faithful....

She is just the forerunner of generations to come...

...she is the product of "Everybody's a winner and no one is a loser..." mentality that was foisted upon the culture that eventually evolved into what is now know as "Polital Correctness"...

You know, those idiotic mores that have been all the rage in schools where trophies are awarded for trying and just showing up...

What that did was create at least a generation of mediocrity convinced they are god's gift to the world...

Another stunning success in the old U S of A!

What is good for the goose is good for the gander...

This is the point of Coles article--he is not blaming GWB.

And for those who are sort of confused by the Subject line:

The US is the goose.

Russia is the gander.

In other words: If it's good enough for the US to invade soveriegn countries--it's also good enough for the Russians to do it as well.

Also a gander is and adult male goose.

(That's why Gander Mountain has a goose on thier logo--not because there is a good view to be had on a mountain!).

Sorry to have to explain everything, but it seems there is a large swath of readers here who have less than stellar cognitive skills.
