Thank you for some sanity ...

The radio host who said, "I just report what people felt" and refused to answer your question about what HE thought is just one example of the nightmare that is the press buying into the devisous old-school politics of the BO campaign.

To all of those who think HRC would actually call for a hit on BO: have you lost your midns? It is you have split this party with your win-at-all cost tactics and anger.

Ms Walsh, thank you for standing up for some sort sanity, of which there is way too little.

The Unity of Hatred?

"Barak was very gracious about this comment and there is no mention of this."

Since the original statement had nothing to do with BO, why would HRC owe him any sort of comment? The judgement of HRC's intentions, even if by a gazillion BO supporters, is still just their judgment and not her real intentions. (OMG, don't burst a vein because we don't agree now!)

Its almost funny that so much hatred is being spouted -- all very Republcian thought lines from the 1990s designed to destroy the Dems -- and it is meant to be evidence of what, the *new* *unity* of the *post-political* man?

How can anyone educated in the modern world not recognize in themselves the evidence of their own mass hysteria?

Anyway, let me answer your claim to graciousness:

George S. of ABC caught Axelrod claiming to be "past the issue" when in fact he was emailing reporters Uberman's diatribe in order to flame the issue further. Being the Gracious King is easy enough when your supporters are out doing all the dirty work.

Black/white tension, must be whitey's fault

"Interesting and thought provoking article on Black/white tension in the feminist community over this election. Not hard to imagine, but it has become ugly and sad."

As usual, this article you cite called us all racists for not liking BO. Like so many of the posts here and elsewhere.

And then HRC is blamed for the racism.

While the BO supporters running into the crowd with knives drawn and teeth bared, screaming "Dirty Murderer."

Original article: The other 18 million

Well, friends...

=============================

"' even if [another] woman would be eminently qualified and a good match for him?' Do you realize how utterly sexist that sounds?"

No, it means that making the women take second spot yet one more f-ing time is just not going to cut it. HRC is THE woman who got our votes, not another yet unknown and unvetted governor.

I think millions of people saw BO as a black where before there were only whites, but millions saw just another man where there have always been men. You see what you wanna see... I've stood up against racism since I was very young in the 60's. And this is how I see it:

Remember Geraldine -- we've already gone the route of selecting a woman for the sake of selecting a woman to be number TWO. That was supposed to have broken the glass ceiling and all these years later everyone wants us to believe the same lie again. Fool me once ....

"..would you be urging her to reach out to the most sexist amongst her detractors...?"

I have read many blogs over the last few months and I know that those on the HRC blogs who went over the top were told to shut up. I never saw anyone stand up and tell some BO ranter to treat HRC with respect. Yes, I am saying that the vitriol against her on the blogs and in the MSM was much worse and it was expressed through sexism.

And here's what I wonder. Yes, there is a lot of anger and disappointment that our dreams were destroyed. This anger was a reaction to losing, for sure, but it is rage against the machine. On the other hand, the hate against HRC by the so-called progressive left seemed to swallow the 90's Repub hate-mongering hook-line-and-sinker.

So in my mind the sexism *engendered* by BO's existence in this race has been much worse that the racism *engendered* by HRC's existence in this race. I am talking about something more than actions. I am not accusing; I am not saying anything about winning or losing. I am describing an atmosphere, a human ecology, and wondering where this has come from? (If you don't get what I am saying, just let it go and pass on by this post... If you do get it, I am truly looking for answers.)

Even more: if BO had been treated with the amount of racism by the MSM that HRC and her followers endured with the overt and disgusting sexism, there would have been hell to pay and heads rolling. This is WAY beyond being about HRC. She was called castrating -- OUT LOUD ON TV -- and nobody stood up to say boo - not the DNC, not other journalists, not the BO bloggers, and yes, not BO who claims to want to lead us all. Imagine even Fox calling BO "boy" or "a monkey". Calling a woman castrating is a form of rape, no less than a noose is a death threat to an AA.

"Where do you get this notion that Obama has been disrespectful somehow to Hillary Clinton?"

Let's start with "You challenge the status quo and suddenly the claws come out" and "when she's feeling down ... periodically ... she ... launches attacks."

We talk about "code words" of racism. If you can't see that as sexist, then you really don't get it.

We do not think that sexism was the only reason for her loss. But it might have very well been the tipping point and we will NEVER know because our so-called DNC leaders never stopped it! Who knows. What I do know is that all these folks are now telling me I'd be crazy not to vote for my friend BO. Well, gosh with friends like these ....
