So indigo
[Read the article: NARAL endorses Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I can live with your support of hillary, no problem there. I think your reasoning is flawed, but it makes no difference. If you support her you support her. Are you voting for the Democrat in November regardless of who wins? Because right now, that's what really matters.
-
Actually, I've changed my mind
[Read the article: Edwards endorsing Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This is actually great timing. Right now, then the MSM is all up in Obama grill about women and blue collar workers, Obama gets endorsements from people who represent the reproductive rights of women and a former candidate, love him or hate him, who connects with blue collar workers. And the day after a major Clinton victory in West Virginia. He diverted media attention, he gained support from people who could have just as easily gone to Clinton. He stopped the Clinton Momentum Train cold.

apparently
[Read the article: Clinton supporters push back against NARAL endorsement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]an emotional connection to a candidate is more important than party unity and the Democratic platform. I can't believe some of these comments. Shameful.

AKA Smith
[Read the article: Clinton supporters push back against NARAL endorsement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You have a fair point. However, to call NARAL's endorsement of Obama a betrayal is at best presumptuous.

And this is the kicker for me
[Read the article: Clinton supporters push back against NARAL endorsement]

[Read the article: Clinton supporters push back against NARAL endorsement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Obama is not a winner for the Democrats. The people have been saying this since February."
Which people? When? In what context?
Is this another one of those times when someone kicks out some exit polling and primary stats whose connections to a hypothetical outcome of the general election are tenuous at best? I mean, you always come hard with the What, but the world waits for the Why and the How. Know what I mean?
Help us break away from the same old rhetoric and let's get into details. Easy for me because I will not hesitate to vote for WHOEVER becomes the D nominee.

Is what Hillary did for NARAL
[Read the article: Clinton supporters push back against NARAL endorsement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]anything like she did for the gay community with Don't Ask, Don't Tell and the DOMA?

well
[Read the article: Clinton supporters push back against NARAL endorsement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]1. NARAL might have the opinion that we DO have a nominee anbd we can't waste any more time in addressing McCain. This is a perfectly legitimate point of view if you're judgment isn't clouded by Hillary fanatacism.
2. The timing was perfect because A) it came right after a big Hillary victory, stealing the spotlight, and B) it should serve as notice to pro-choice activists that Obama is not the enemy.
Just because Hillary can campaign as long as she wants, which I firmly believe, doesn't mean the whole freaking WORLD has to sit on it's hands until she's done.

[Read the article: Clinton supporters push back against NARAL endorsement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]NARAL isn't a women's organization. It's a reproductive rights organization. Men can be and are members of NARAL. I think you have a pretty skewed perspective when it comes to gender. Look up what NARAL stands for, or at least notice there is no letter W in there.

[Read the article: Clinton supporters push back against NARAL endorsement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Idunno! I'm kind of excited about this fall. I'm an avid Obama supporter who has always been willing to vote D no matter who wins the nomination, and I can say that I think McCain is toast. Bush makes an ass of himself every day, and McCain is inextricable linked to him. I think Obama will win the nomination and the election, and to be honest, I really think that we have one of those "once in a lifetime" candidates who can really turn things around.
Did I mention that I'm a bit of an optimist? ;)

sajwan needs to read the thread
[Read the article: Clinton supporters push back against NARAL endorsement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Obama's "present" votes were part of a planned parenthood strategy. If you had an ounce of intellectual integrity you'd have read up on that by now since in this very coments sectino there is a detailed explanation of those votes.

One thing is true though
[Read the article: More negative reaction to NARAL]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]NARAL is loving the spotlight.

[Read the article: Bush seems to attack Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Bush is bringing a knife to a gun fight! Both Obama and Hillary could eat his lunch in a debate. Bush should crawl into his Texas Rangers sleeping bag, zip it up tight, and wait for Jan. 21. As Keith Olbermann said the other day, and if you haven't seen it, it's on youtube, SHUT THE HELL UP.

[Read the article: Bush seems to attack Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]find the great old nazi quote about how you get your people to support your war? I forgot who said it, but if we're drawing parallels to WWII, there is no better example.

It Was Goering
[Read the article: Bush seems to attack Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]“Why of course the people don’t want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally, the common people don’t want war: neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship…Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.”

[Read the article: MoveOn ad: correction]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It may not be your style of humor, but I thought it was pretty funny, and I support Obama. Anyone remember when Democrats weren't so humorless?

Electro Robot, By the By
[Read the article: Quote of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You make some good points. But doesn't it seem as though America could play a role in fostering an uprising of the youth in Iran by not making itself into a villain with the constant saber rattling?
