  • Good story

[Read the article: What does Hillary want?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Once Hillary finally buries the hatchet, here's hoping the time for sour grapes has passed. I imagine there will still be a few wounded egos out there, but the important thing is that we get a Democrat in the White House. I seriously doubt any Democrat, including the most die-hard Clinton supporter, would want 4-8 more years of the same Republican bullshit, no matter what the polls say.

As for the long laundy list of demands Hillary will bring to table, I recommend the Obama camp do what they can to meet them. As unreasonable as many of them may be, the most important thing we can do right now is heal the party and get Hillary behind the nominee. She fought hard and deserves concessions. Adopting her health care plan would be a fantastic idea, as it is pretty much the only thing she had over Obama.

As the old saying goes: We must hang together or we most asuredly will hang seperately.

  • Stick a fork in her

[Read the article: "You can't win this nomination"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Hillary ran a tough race, fought exptremely hard, and had some good ideas. She deserves respect for this.

The most important thing now is the healing of the party. We can start by ending the stupid bickering on these boards. We are all Democrats, presumedly, and none of us should see 4-8 more years of the same Republican bullshit as a viable alternatiove to either candidate. Let's put the sour grapes behind and work on getting a Democrat in the White House.

  • Where was Hillary when the DNC made these rules and lined out what the penalties would be?

[Read the article: Clinton writes to Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Oh yeah. She was right there. Agreeing to those rules and penalties. Not a peep of arguement from her. She signed on to them with the rest of the Democratic candidates.

    Interesting.

OK, well what about her being the only one on the ballot in MI? Not to worry, she told us. Since the Michigan delegates won't be counted, it doesn't matter if she's on the ballot or not, she said. Remember that? Of course you don't.

Wonder what other inconvenient agreements and promises Clinton would break if she were to ever win the presidency.

How do y'all answer to this, Clintonites?

    *crickets chirping*

  • Yes yes yes. hillary was consistently behing getting those delegates seated...

[Read the article: Clinton writes to Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    ...except when she wasn't.

Was she lying or is she just stupid?

Or maybe she think's you're stupid?

    Which is it?

  • @Drewonimo

[Read the article: Clinton writes to Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Well, for starters, the other option would have been to be on record as saying these rules and penalties were bullshit from the very beginning. Another option could have been to simply refuse to follow those rules because they were absurd from the very beginning. Again, nothing but agreement from her initially. She is on the record several times stating that she intends to follow the rules and that those sates won't count.

That way she wouldn't look like such a hypocrite.

  • Heck of a job there, Rummy.

[Read the article: Rumsfeld blamed generals for lack of forces in postwar Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

No accountability from this administration at all.

  • C'mon, Dean! The DNC needs to hit back NOW!

[Read the article: RNC debuts attack against Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

And keep hitting McCain until November. He's an easy target and there is no lack of ammunition that can be used against him.

C'mon DNC. Stop sweating this primary election (which is already pretty much over) and start focusing on the general. Why haven't there been ads launched against McCain yet?

  • I second Hepstyle's suggestion

[Read the article: Kennedy dismisses idea of joint ticket]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Both would make great VP candidates.

Webb: ex-military. tough. eloquent. charismatic. southern. could pick up those "hard-working" white votes. lol

Richardson: different strategy, but still viable. forget those "hard-working" white votes and instead try to make greater inroads into the Latin community, which Clinton won, and with whom McCain should actually do pretty well. lots of foreign policy experience.

    I like both suggestions.

  • The time for his endorsement has come and gone

[Read the article: Whither John Edwards?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Still...

Debates about accents and syllables aside, Edwards spent a great part of Friday morning extolling Obama. Edwards also appeared on the Today Show this morning and said of Obama: "What he brings to the table is the capacity, number one, to unite the Democratic Party... Number two, to bring in new voters, to bring in people who haven't been involved in the process over a long time and to get people excited about this change."

Sounds like the closest thing to an endorsement Obama's gonna get from Edwards.

  • Uhhhhhhh.....jebldmm

[Read the article: Kennedy dismisses idea of joint ticket]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I'm leaving the Democratic Party, because I will not in any way support a party that will tolerate that kind of misogynist attitude.

    -jebldmm

So, you'll instead be voting for the guy who in '92 told his wife, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt."

Nice display of ignorant hypocracy. How's that working out for you?

  • Obama should tell her he will help with her debt if she drops out NOW.

[Read the article: Clinton faces deadline for loan repayment]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If she decides to continue and running up her tab thinking he'll just bail her out anyway, she's done. She gets nothing.

In what world is failure to know when your beat and running up astronomical debts something you look for in a leader? These are not admirable qualities.

  • The damage is done.

[Read the article: Republicans twist Obama's statements about Israel]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This just confirmed many mouthbreathers' suspicions that Obama is a secret-Muslim who wants to destroy Israel. Doesn't matter what the facts are or not.

Let Boehner know what you think about his attempts to falsely smear Barack Obama. Continue until he posts a retraction. Let the Republicans know that Democrats won't be laying down to their attacks this time!

  • Make Boehner impotent!

His contact info is provided above. E-mail and call him until he retracts.

If we don't nip this "Obama is a secret Israel-hating Muslim" bullshit in the bud now, it is going to spin out of control.
