  • Hillary offers no solutions, and no answers to the following questions...

[Read the article: Clinton: "My opponent gives speeches, I offer solutions"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Where were you on the FISA vote, Clinton? If campaigning is so grueling, why was Obama there? Where are your tax returns? What are you trying to hide? Why did you co-sponsor a flag burning bill? Why did you vote to authorize the Iraq War? Why did you refuse to accept accountibility for that vote (John Edwards did)? Why are you attacking your opponent for giving speeches when you are notorious for giving delightful non-answers to all big questions? Why are you trying to get the Michigan delegates counted when your opponent was not even on the ballot?

Sorry, Hillary. I see through you, and from the look of the polls, many others do too. We are sick to death of your brand of politics, and this most recent attack only clinches it.

  • Please don't feed the trolls.

I tried engaging cythera over their accusation that Obama was misogynistic a few days ago. Cyth sent me a couple of articles that supposedly "proved" this charge and offered to send more evidence if I needed it. Those blogs Cyth sent as proof amounted to absolutely nothing so I asked for more, and got nothing. Clearly Cynth is here for his/her own amusement and to get people riled up.

I encourage everyone to ignore trolls like this.

There. That's the end of my PSA.

  • BTW, not directed at most other Hillary supporters here

My last e-mail was aimed only at people replying to a certain troll.

While it should be clear to anyone reading my posts that I support Obama, I'm appreciate the input and lively debates from Hillary supporters here like WES and AKA.

  • @AKA Smith

Of course I don't expect Hillary to address anything on these boards. The intent of my post was to point out that these questions are still unanswered.

Everything else you said is between me and my imaginary rabbit.

  • Add my voice to the chorus calling for an IGNORE feature

If you won't get rid of anon, at least do this for us.

  • If you look for something hard enough...

[Read the article: Quote of the day: Obama on Clinton ]

...you'll find it whether it's there or not. In Broadsheet's case, it's sexism.

  • Democrats: Let's lose the superdelegates altogether!

[Read the article: A supersize controversy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The very idea that there are delegates that are more equal than others and therefore get more of a say in the primary just smacks of something those other guys would do. Do we really need this? In the very possible case that the superdelegates chose the candidate that did not win the popular vote, is the democratic party prepared for the inevidable rift and mass exodus that is bound to occur? How will it be able to get anything done when its members have given up on the process (because, really, why bother)?

Those of us still pissed off about the corronation that happened in the 2000 general election, this is infathomable.

  • Wes, the "spy" charge has been thrown from both sides

[Read the article: A supersize controversy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

And you either know this and chose to ignore it, or you really don't read anyone's posts but your own or just the ones that respond to you directly.

Your arguements are valid. Why not just make them and leave the trolling to an anonymous poster? It doesn't do your candidate any favors (and that goes for trolls on both sides).

  • Obama's appeal with Republicans

[Read the article: A supersize controversy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Based on my own (liberal) reasons for supporting Oboma and from Republicans I've spoken to who also support him, I can say that it isn't due to some nefarious Republican conspiracy to keep Clinton out of the general election, but becuase his message of unity really does ring true to a broad cross section of this country.

Say what you will about how stupid, naive, or childish we are. That's really what's it's all about, whether you chose to accept it or not.

An interesting side note: my mother is a Republican. I asked who she wanted to win the Democratic nomination, and she said Hillary. Thinking my mother's support for Hillary came from their mutual experiences as educated working women, I went ahead and asked her why. I was surprised to here her say that she wanted Hillary because she'll lose the general election.

  • *sigh* WES. You're a troll.

Am I the only person who found it mindly amusing? At least the guy has a sense of humor, which is more then can be said for most pundits. Just words, people. Just words. ;)

    BTW. I'm an Obama supporter.

I do think Koppelman's lack of comment and omission of the last two paragraphs interesting though. Why bother, Alex? Why not just give your job to Brooks?

  • Interesting data

Wha-?! Obama leading among women? That margin seems a little thin to make any judgements.

    I remain glued.

    Please to be explaining...

  • No concession speech from Hillary (big surprise)

[Read the article: Clinton attacks Obama for focusing on rhetoric, Obama gets long-winded]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So the Obama camp decided to play hardball. She used her time to make the same tired attacks on him instead of conceding the state, so he cut in on her speech. Well played.

I expect we'll get some whining about this from the Clinton campaign tomorrow.

Hopefully some tears too. I hear those poll really well.

  • If..IF..Clinton wins Texas, it will be by the thinnest of margins

[Read the article: A bleak outlook for Hillary Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Luckily for her, Texas has been gerrymandered to shit. I live in Austin, Obama's territory, but my district extends down into the Rio Grande Valley(!), Hillary's turf. There are examples of this all over the state. Republicans have gutted the state and rendered the state's progressives toothless, and that will work to her advantage.

(They still couldn't get rid of Lloyd Doggett though. Ha ha ha!)

  • @Asher

By the same token, please tell me why Hillary counts as the "experience" candidate beyond repeating it a million times.

Her time as First Lady doesn't count, by the way. If my wife was a brainsurgeon for 8 years, that doesn't mean I'd be qualified to start openning up people's heads.

  • Says more about Watson's lack of preperation then Obama's record

[Read the article: "Name some of Barack Obama's legislative accomplishments ... if you can" ]

But I'm still bitter at Watson about his grand "Smart Growth" plans and the resulting loss of Liberty Lunch, Les Amies, and the Waterloo Ice House downtown due to skyrocketing rents.

  • Hillary did really well in this debate, but...

[Read the article: Hillary Clinton's Texas-size moment ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

...if the Texas race is as close as everyone says, and she has to win by a big margin, I don't this was enough to do it.

Obama played it cool. It's his race to lose afterall.
