Not testy
[Read the article: Is Obama getting "testy"?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It just looked like he was quite busy singing autographs, and then offered to talk off the record. Nothing testy there.

The Grey Lady
[Read the article: Bill Clinton looks backward]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I am disappointed by the NYTs editorial endorsement of Hillary, following the wording of her campaign. As far as I recall it the New York Times endorsed the Iraq Invasion, too.

Jericho is Lost
[Read the article: I Like to Watch]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]After working myself through the first seasons first half I gave up on the show. I guess it came into being on the heels of Losts success, but of course it is missing JJ Abrams Mystery Box Magic. On the other hand I congratatulate the fans on their success of bringing the show back, I was sending Crackers to the SciFi channels some years ago after the cancellation of Farscape. That show, compared to Jericho, was special and worth the rescue effort. While SciFi has a history of fumbling, right now they are about to bring back the Farscape universe in series of webisodes, lets see what comes out of that. In the meantime I hope that BSG will be able to finish its story the right way, with the writers strike now almost over.

Not Again
[Read the article: What will Nader say on "Meet the Press"?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Without his 2000 candidacy there would be no need for the idea of an Bush/Cheney impeachment…

The Moment
[Read the article: Hillary Clinton's Texas-size moment ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Well, her campaign seems to believe it was a magic bullet, as Bill Clinton was sending out a mass email today with a video link to hillarys closing comments, attached with a plea for cash… all from 10 to 2300 Dollar

Das Spielbergle strikes again
[Read the article: "10,000 BC"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Well, I am sure that this movie sucks, because Emmerichs movies always do. With or without Dean Devlins help that is. Roland, called by his fellow german countryfolks as "das Spielbergle" which roughly translates, you guessed it, as "little Spielberg" reached his goal, shoorting Hollywood blockbusters, long ago, and Stargate spawned an amazingly succesful franchise. But if you take an original Spielberg and compare it to any of Emmerichs flicks, you feel what they lack.
They have no soul.

Ja, we can
[Read the article: Views of the race from across the Atlantic]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Spiegel Online…
Well Charly, while you mentioned the Spiegel Messiah-Cover, let me add some dirt here.
Spiegel Online, the magazines website, Hillarymen and Obamalovers fight for every inch since the primaries began. On a thread called "McCain gegen Obama oder Clinton - wer hat die besseren Chancen?" are 2.589 posts compared to its twin thread "Obama oder Clinton - wer wäre besser als Präsident? " with 1.704.
Spiegel Online has a guy in Washington called Gabor Steingart, who hates Obama with all his his heart. Every tuesday his colum "West Wing" comes up with new reasons why Barack is a hoax, and that Hillary or McCain will make it. While the Clintons are well liked in Germany, there is a huge pro-Obama movement there… shouting " Ja, wir koennen"

Machs Gut, Arthur!
[Read the article: The last rendezvous with Arthur C. Clarke]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Andrew, born 1965 myself, I agree on your text line by line… including the One Dollar Paperbacks on the shelf. One of my favorites from Arthur was always "Nine Billion Names of God". I hope he is doing fine, wherever he is now. And got some questions answered.

Sigmar Gabriel, the Jerry Seinfeld of german politics
[Read the article: George Bush and the Neanderthals]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That is one of Sigmar Gabriels better lines in the last months, haha.
Unfortunately his party leader, Kurt Beck, is an neandertaler in his own accord,
and will not be able to snatch the general election from Angela Merkel next year.
But we in germany hope for Obama anyway
;))

I have to disagree.
Klingons live by a strong code of Honor.

Lost
[Read the article: The bisphenol A blues]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This is bad news or our Losties. Jack, Kate, Sawyer and the others drink a lot of water from their various Nalgene bottles. I never liked to drink from my Nalgene because of the funny smell of that plastic.
Now I know why.
