  • Primaries

[Read the article: The Democrats' anti-momentum]

It's interesting to note that if you take away the delegates from the states who don't back democrats for president you end p with Barack haveing a 50 delagate lead and 1,000 more votes.

Barack has won such republican statas as Utah, Louisiana, Wyoming and Alaska. When did a democrat win those states?

I went back to Kennedy and found tha many of the states Barack won haven'[t voted for a democrat for presideny sisnce Johnson. He ran against Barry Goldwater and we know how well Barry did.

[Read the article: Leahy: Clinton should quit]

Leahy says Hillary should quit? How many voters does he want to disenfranchie?

Don't count Michigan or Florida. They might go for Hillary. Who cares about Pennsylvania or Indiana or Oregon? What canthey do?

Let's stop whenever the other side has a candidate regardless of who is ahead. But wait, what if Leahy's candidate was't in the lead? Well then, that would be a different story.

Lookat the delegates. See whatstates they are from. Let's have American Samoa have a say in the selection of a candidate, but not North Carolina. Let Utah and Montana and Louisanna decide the selection.. Even if they haven't voted democratic snce Johnson.

Who cares that the people can't be allowed their votges. My candidate is too important...

The dates on which primaries happen are set by governmet. TRhey are paid for by that govenment and he rsults are tallied by aforesaid gobveernments. As such I can make an argument tat they are qyasi-governemtal or even governmental actions. This would make actions such as taken by DNC are exactly what I talked about.

Itwasn't the democtraic party of Florida or Michigan who set the dates of the primary it was the legislature and the governors of those states.

Try again when you grow up and get educated.

PS Dr. Dean should remoive his head from a very dark place and forego his bruised ego and act like an adult.

  • Are You Kidding?

[Read the article: Can Stephen Colbert save America?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Having seen the coverage of the major networks and cable outlets, these comedia-casters are the only source of unbiased reporting.

MSNBC, NBC, and CNN have been drinking the kool-aid regarding Obama. They can't say enough good things about him and conversly they cannot say enough bad things about Clinton.

Fox. on the other hand can't say enough bad things about all democrats and not enough good things about republicans.

At least with John Stewart, Colbert, et al the concept of comedy and parody are the intent. It should be noted that the funniest humor is that which makes us unconfortable because it is true.

When Saturday Night Live did the parody of the debate between Clinton and Obama, they were spot on regarding the "mainstream press".

Look at MSNBC, Dan Abrams (worse) never and I mean never finds Obama at larger fault than Clinton. Olbermann (worser) is almost but not quite the worst partisan I've ever seen. I leave the designation "Worst Person in the World" to CHris Matthews. He of "Pimping out" Chelsea.

In politics, partisan literally means organized into political parties. The expression "Partisan politics" usually refers to fervent, sometimes militant support of a party, cause, faction, person, or idea.

    SO?

  • If Only

[Read the article: Why Hillary Clinton should be winning]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What the article is true. So what? I'll tell you. The DNC hierarchy hve their knickers in a knot because the primary isn't decided. Gee, where can we point the blame.

By definition, the set up was intended to make the primary season longer. How else can you account for the idiocy that is now happening. But now the it seems that people are in a hurry to get this thing over with.

But beyond the proportional primaries it gets even weirder. Let's let Guam and Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and "Americans Abroad' have delegates to the convention even though they con't vote for president.

I can go on about how the caucus is only for the party insiders. but who cares. That's the system. I like to look to the delegates and the staes. How many of the states that the candidates have won have voted for a Democrat for president in the last 40 years. Those states are really inportant to an election..... You bet they are.

  • Look at the Results

[Read the article: No, Hillary Clinton shouldn't be winning]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Clinton wins California by over 400,000 vtes and nets +36 delagates. California votes for democrats for president.

Obama wuns Idaho, and Indiana and nets 66 delegates. Those states haven't voted for a democrat for president since LBJ.

Who do you really think is the candidate of the states that weill actually vote democrat?

Toss in the Virgin Islands, Guam, and "Democrats Abroad" and the numbers get bigger. When did Alaska vote for a democrat? Or Louisiana? Those were Obama wins.

  • You missed it badly

[Read the article: Whose fault is the Clinton-Obama stalemate?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The problem Obama has isn't like you say a simple equation that either you get it or you don't. It's that a hell of a lot of us aren't buying it.

Maybe we're not tone-deaf but rather hearing the subtones that come with age and living in a real world that the affluent and the young don't.

I do think that you are right about the "Cool Kid's Club". It is cool to be a rebel and take a stand that is against the "Establishment",and it is very much a Club". Liberal guilt is a very real thing and the chance to stick it to the older generation is too much to bypass.
