Well of course Palin acts like any mother would

She pushes her 14-year-old into the spotlight and screeches about the injury to herself while daddy Todd gets into the act and pushes the youngest out as well.

Sarah is the Octomom of the Republican Party.

Original article: How to talk about abortion

I'd certainly like to have a converstation without killing each other

Unfortunately the anti-choice side has chosen otherwise.

Now what?

"So you think that money is the root of all evil?"

No, but the love of money clearly is. Rand's childish followers prove this again and again.

American are idiots

Selfish, self-centered lazy halfwits.

Sorry, but that's the reality. We are going to reap what we sow.

A "court" ruled?

Republicans don't do "courts". Or elections.

I wonder how long until they shoot up a church or bomb an abortion clinic to express how unfair life is to them.

You forgot "cowardly" educal

She's a coward. And it was we liberals who sent her running with her tail between her legs.

Sadly that's pretty much all the Republican Party and American conservatives have left: fear and weakness. You should be dancing in the streets now that Palin is gone and you can choose someone of character - but all you're able to do is whine and mew about how abused she was by the liberals. Get some self-respect.

I have nothing but contempt for people of any political persuasion who would choose such a craven buffoon for a leader.

Original article: Sarah Palin, one tough mama

Funny

What's next, an article lauding George Bush as steadfast and resolute?

Palin acted like a frantic get-away driver throwing her kids out of the car hoping that would slow down her pursuers. Every scandal, every criticism, every political opportunity and another Palin kid got jettisoned and left to fend for themselves.

Frankly I'd answer "hell yes" as well if Sarah was my mom and offered to stop cynically exploiting me.

The personality cult is the point here, not Sarah Palin

Choose any comment from a Palin follower on this thread. She's perfect, she's a saint, she's unfairly attacked by the media, you're jealous, you hate her. Clearly not all of this can be true, about her or anybody, but that doesn't stop the knee-jerk assertions that they are.

Sarah Palin as a politician is troubled and deeply flawed. She should never have gained public office and any honest observer would admit that. The cult is about denying this truth for their own emotional protection, it's not about Sarah Palin herself.

"Ignore the last couple of tweets"?

No problem Lisa. I pretty much dismiss out of hand anything the right has to say as either being manifestly stupid or an outright lie.

"Thats beyond my my legal expertise."

Which is to say, none.

Thanks Fireman Ricci, you've been used as a prop to advance a racist agenda.

You must be proud.

Here's the point

The rich hate the poor - or at the very least have nothing but contempt for them. How could it be otherwise in our culture? We worship wealth and despise failure, and being poor is being a failure. That the rich now complain that they are being being unfairly targeted and stereotyped is ironic at best. The only answer to questions of wealth and taxes for the wealthy is "more" and "less". It's that simple

The rich aren't sitting around concerning themselves with what is fair to anyone else - they are actively working to keep what they have, regardless of whether they deserve it or not. Our current system has allowed immense amounts of wealth and power to be concentrated among people whose only skill is the ability to amass wealth and power. This entitlement culture the rich have created created for themselves must end if we are all to survive.

The right citing Ann Coulter

Is like the left citing Al Sharpton.

Reasonable people on both sides dismiss such buffoons.

Thursday, August 6, 2009 02:10 PM

Hey, you know how NotOrbitBoy knows the left is equally as "loony" as the right?

George Will told him so.

Astounding.

Friday, August 7, 2009 03:51 PM

Amazing

They're ranting about...health care, right?

They don't rant when they can't get the care they need or when the insurance companies screw them over or when they can't see a doctor. No, they rant about socialism and black politicians and light bulbs and how they like not having affordable health care.

Well Representative Inglis these are your constituents, the people who pay your salary.

You deserve them.

Too little, too late

The Right wins.

Tuesday, August 25, 2009 08:32 AM

What does he mean he was "going" to kill children?

He did kill children - sometimes in the dozens. And President Obama continues this policy to this day in Afghanistan. And this murdering of innocent children (well, innocent brown children at least) is perfectly OK to millions of conscienceless Americans.

We are far greater terrorists than "they" are.

I knew it couldn't be about principle

His fellow sharks just sense blood in the water.

Swim Mark! Swim!

Just kidding. Don't swim Mark.

How sick

It's always thinly veiled racism with Republicans.

Wednesday, September 2, 2009 07:02 PM

"Write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president“

Well certainly - asking children to think about what they can do to assist their president is exactly like fascism.

Exactly like it.

I wonder what we would call it if a president ordered the torture of prisoners?

I know - we'll call it "being a Republican" because that's exactly what the last Republican president did.

Sunday, September 6, 2009 03:07 PM

libertyaintfree is so right.

There is no place for racism by non-whites anywhere in our government.

Monday, September 7, 2009 09:42 PM

They aren't "knuckleheads".

They are traitors.

Each and every one of them is a clear and present danger to the republic and to civilization.
