Original article: Rudy gets a smackdown

Poor Rudy.....

As a former NYC resident I'm sitting here chckling again for the second time today thanks to the Salon team.

When will this guy ever learn that old axiom about glass houses and throwing stones?

He hasn't been able to get elected dog catcher since 9/11 and if they ever do a fact check on his claims re: that brutal tragedy it could be very embarassing and the GOP knows it too. Ask the brotherhood of Police and Firefighters...

This man is hardly in a position to discuss the word judgement personally or professionally.

Mike Blloomberg, sparkling personality aside is EVERYTHING to NYC that Rudy wasn't and never could be. I hope they give him a third term because that city needs him and the REAL financial brilliance that is apparently so wanton elsewhere in the region.

Duck Season

And here I thought "Duck Season" didn't open t'il mid-November..Oh well

Presidential indeed......

I don''t mean to be disrepsectful to Senator McCain's military service, injuries age or what have you..I really don't...

BUT as I watched and listened to the candidates rehash familar terrtiory in the Town Hall format, I was struck for the first time by how utterly rigid and uncomfortable the GOP candidate appeared to be as he walked or shuffled on the stage perhaps in an effort to become "physically" comfortable in his own skin. It appeared to me at least that he was in some kind of pain or discomfort.

As a physically disabled person myself, I can attest to how endless hours of limb discomfort breeds a certain degree of crankiness too. It may also provide some credence as to why he was such a fast exit out of the hall as well.

None of the above however alters the fact that Senator Obama bested his GOP opponent on substance in virtually every category of question while displaying the now rare and pleasing penchant for graciousness both duing and after the contest.

Presidential indeed.....

Articulate Me.....

The poor kid must have been absolutely stupified by the number of two syllable words in text format based on her debate articulations.

Hell for that matter, he might even be eligible for credit and time served. Ya think?

No child left behind indeed....

:-)

The ironic thing is that this kid's poor judgement might net him real jail time which is more time than anyone who illegally spied on American citizens under the Bush flag is ever going to see. Go figure....

COINTELPRO

Hey J.T:

Thanks for the heads up on COINTELPRO scandal.

Kinda lends some credence to that old adage about the story you know, don't know and may never know.....

Original article: ALCS: Why not the Rays?

Sox in Six...

K:

Nice analysis and while you are pretty much on the beam as usual, I would caution anyone from counting the Sox out no matter what transpired in the regualr season vs the Rays. (8-10) Boston seems to turn it up a notch in Ocotber as the Angels found out AGAIN last week. "The best team didn't win..etc., etc.

The Trop is a shit hole to play in so little wonder how they control their overall expenses, but that 40M salary number is a marvel of modern day sports. No doubt, it's a teriffic young team and even better now that Crawford is back in their lineup.

Enjoy the ever deliberate Dice-K this evening and ok, yes, your're allowed to scratch your head and wonder how too...Oh and that's load the bases eighteen times in the regualr season and never allow a run..

Sox in six....:-)

Disgusting!

John McCain and the third world tactics presently being employed by Steve Schmidt and the proxy pawn vp candidate Sarah Plain are an absolute disgrace to the political process in the United States. Nasty, tough, or snide based on the issues is one thing but inciting crowds with words like traitor and threats of "Kill him" are way, way over the top.

John McCain should be censured by the U.S. Senate and removed from any responsible position in the U.S. Government. He is obviously unstable and not mentally or physically equipped to deal with the seriousness of the issues presntly facing our country on any level.

The Fat Lady Is Warming Up....

Ok, we hear you re: complacency and what the present day administration can do to off set the roller coaster impact of present day markets etc. etc.

I hear you, I DO hear you I say......BUT I'm also picking up a nice little bit resonance of scale work from this short stout woman just off stage right.

:-)

Oh Nuts!

A classic GOTCHYA moment...

BOOOOOOOO

Feel sorry for the woman as she has real problems with basic inalienable rights like free speech....

We do that alot here in the lower forty-eight too as she no doubt found out in Philadelphia on Satruday night....:-)

Frankly she's due for some new response material as she is getting old awfully fast...

Original article: McCain loses again

A Bitter Old Man

Joe....Please leave the building now before we all get sick from the back flush.

Holy Water Anyone?

I'd be considering some kind of alternate mojo for this seat..other than the stupidity presently being employed....

Sunday, October 19, 2008 09:52 AM

Endorsement ......Indeed!

Gen. Powell and his rousing endorsement of Senator Obama struck me as what a wise and experienced statesman of this country should sound like in 2008.

And a life long Republican as well....

God, there might be hope for them after all....

Caribou Barbie

TS:

Nicely done, but you are being way too kind....

Ms. Palin is a more than willing pawn on a political game board inspired by Dobson, Davis et al willing to say and do whatever in support of their transparent agenda.

My sense of her is that she really doesn't care about much.....

Change...indeed.
