What an idiotic premise. If someone is killed for a reason that is not religion, then he is killed for secularism?
That is so pathetic it is mind-boggling.
So you make a list of wars and massacres and atrocities that are not driven by religion, and you count those tallies under "driven by secularism"? Because with every death, the killers were thinking to themselves, "Here we strike another blow for secularism!"?
This is not a zero-sum game. The choices are not limited to "pro-religion" and "pro-secularism." Can you tell the difference between "killed for a secular reason" and "killed to advance the cause of secularism"?
Every person who put forth the idea that WWII was fought for secularism has placed himself permanently on the Too Dumb To Pay Attention To list.
Seriously.
The woman has no concept of reality, no true self-awareness, and no defenses. You haven't accomplished much of anything when you abuse her, either verbally or with the written word.
But really, aren't her handlers ultimately to blame? They don't care what it costs her. They just care that her name is out there. They just care about the publicity. They just care about her insofar as she lines their wallets.
Only people who have teeny tiny souls can get any feeling of superiority from beating up on Britney Spears.
Yes, joining a UU church is a good way to meet people who are interested in justice and equlity and sustainability. And lots of other similar ideals.
But I hope you would plan to get more out of it than just meeting people. I hope you would plan to join in some of the service projects available at a UU church.
I have cooked and served food at the homeless shelter. I have contributed money to open several micro-banks in Latin America. I have stood in solidarity at protests against injustice and for equality.
The social aspect is all there. But please consider all the other good things that come from membership in a UU congregation.
Let me start by saying I am not trying to torpedo Obama. I believe he is a citizen fully qualified to be president.
Let me add that something stinks has repeatedly shown himself (herself?) to be a raving conspiracy theorist.
But.
The typing on the line for CITY, TOWN OR LOCATION OF BIRTH does not line up. If you examine the line above, DATE OF BIRTH, HOUR OF BIRTH, and SEX, the words all line up. But OAHU is raised up slightly above HONOLULU on the left, and HONOLULU on the right is slightly below HONOLULU on the left.
In 1961, this would have been typed on a typewriter. And the entries on the line above show that the typewriter normally typed all in a line, all across the page.
For the words HONOLULU, OAHU, HONOLULU not to line up properly, there are only two reasons I can think of:
1. The document was taken out of the typewriter and reinserted between the typing of each word.
2. The document has been photoshopped.
I have done some photoshopping and other sorts of image manipulation. And this is something you just don't mess up. Only a rank amateur would make this kind of mistake.
If there is a conspiracy behind the misaligned words, the conspirators are quite inept. They are sure to have left other traces of their deception.
As far as the removal and reinsertion of the certificate into the typewriter goes, I can think of a reason why that might happen. Suppose the clerk took a bunch of blank birth certificates, and typed "Honolulu" under CITY, one at a time, then started over and typed "Oahu" under ISLAND, one at a time, and then typed "Honolulu" under COUNTY, one at a time.
I have done similar things when filling out different versions of otherwise identical documents. Doing this ahead of time, when things are slow, can save time when you actually need to get a finished product out.
I am not guessing which one is true, I am merely outlining scenarios.
So stinky has alightly more than zero grounds for his claim. And as such, he is unlikely to shut up, as long as he has the ability to type.
Kinda pathetic that he felt it necessary to raise the issue on a thread about a mundane little story about Sarah Palin, though.
Skewed paper in the typewrite can not account for one word being lower and another word being higher.
Both lower? Yes.
Both higher? Yes.
One of each? That would require the paper to shift while you weren't scrolling, while you were only typing.
Good idea, maybe, but not relevant.
I have heard many different definitions for the word "troll" with regards to posting on message boards.
None of them is remotely close to the way you are using it. Actually, you are the one who is a troll in this context.
That's just your cluelessness furthering your reputation as a crank.
A troll is someone who posts something incendiary on a message board, often off-topic, in order to hijack the thread and to create lots of responses.
That would be you.
Who cares if the next President is a liar?
Of the men who have been president since Kennedy was assassinated, only Jimmy Carter was not clearly a serial liar.
And despite his high moral standards and his personal integrity, his presidency was pretty much a disaster.
So, what's your point?
If every post on the War Room blog is a troll post, and every Salon poster is extremely stupid, and you continue to come here and post on on the message boards, what does that make you?`
So, you come here to be hateful and abusive?
Wow, you must have a teeny tiny soul.
The High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV, or Humvee) was the military vehicle's name. And from Humvee to Hummer was a short step.
