So "pal" means whatever you say it means. And you say it mean "anyone you ever associate with ever in any way ever."
Wow, I guess I was wrong. I apologize to you. You were able to "prove" Obama and Ayers are pals.
Of course, by your definition, I am "pals" with tens of thousands of people, and I am responsible for anything they ever did or thought.
Oh, but wait. You were "pals" with a pastor, until you found out that some of his beliefs are not in alignment with yours, and you are therefore absolved of all "palhood" with that particular man.
So for people you like and respect, "palhood" only counts for those who hold acceptable viewpoints. (Or is that only for you?) You get to pick who your pals are. But for people who are political enemies, you get to pick who their pals are. That's cool.
I am so glad you have clarified your position on being "pals." With politeness, with honesty, with credibility, and without the slightest hint of hypocrisy.
Oh, and I really like the way you managed to bring Wright into a discussion that was only about Ayers. If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit, right?
...the same woman who agreed to have sex...
Because we know that every woman who gets pregnant agrees to have sex.
The point was no whether or not you admire Jimmy Carter. The point was your assertion that the only people helping in New Orleans are Republican Evangelical Christians. Which of course, you didn't address. Go Lillian, though.
Sarah Palin is beautiful, inside and out? It is beautiful that she believes we live in a 6000-year-old universe? It is beautiful that she wants her personal myth of creation taught in the schools, as if it were science? It is beautiful that she uses the power of whatever office she holds to punish personal enemies?
And what about the budget in Wasilla? When she became mayor there was a surplus. When she left the office there was a 20 million dollar deficit. That's the kind of executive you want in charge of the country.
I could spend more time shredding other points you made, but why bother?
Really, just go somewhere else. The only people here who agree with you are your fellow trolls. And your "reasonable, polite" method of spouting your nonsense isn't going to change any thinking person's mind.
Go peddle your right wing talking points somewhere you can dupe your readers. This isn't that place.
What you are smelling is the Republican Party.
And especially the McCain/Palin campaign.
So, keep telling yourself it's something else. And keep wondering why the stench isn't going away.
Hint: The stench isn't going away because you keep rolling in the filth.
But it is too late.
Condi Rice was smiling as she ate it.
My guess is that "she" is trying to get some page views for that web site (which is why I am not even going to look at it).
"She" claims to have lost a child in Basra. If that were true "she" would have my sympathy. But since I think she may not even be female, and probably isn't old enough to have a child, I am not going to waste my emotions on "her."
I do want to thank "her" though, for the my father lost two of his three testicles bit. I will probably be laughing about that all week.
But real or not, "she" has been a humorous diversion. And, may I add, an appropriate diversion for a thread commenting on Colin Powell trying to regain the public eye and redeem himself for his unconscionable acts of the past.
Did you look that up in a meaning book?
...a meaning book
Thank you, that was priceless
I hope Obama wins. Not because I think he would make a good president. But because I think he would do far less damage to what remains of our republic than McCain, or, god forbid, Bible Spice.
Since I live in the state most likely to go for McCain, I get to vote my conscience instead of my fears. I will not be voting for Obama. Since I have no hope of influencing the outcome of the election, voting for Cynthia McKinney is not throwing my vote away at all. At least, no more than voting for McCain or Obama would be throwing my vote away.
But my decision was made months ago. It kind of baffles me that there would be people who are still undecided.
If you can look around yourself, and see the state of the country and the world, and feel satisfied, you should vote for McCain. If you aren't a religious extremest or an obscenely wealthy exploiter of humanity, then you should vote for Obama. If, by this time, you have been unable to decide between them, maybe you should just stay home that day.
Of course, that implies you are in a state where the outcome is not a foregone conclusion. If you are in a state where the outcome is already a foregone conclusion, you should vote for the Green Party.
As far as Colin Powell is concerned, didn't that man exhaust his credibility and influence long ago? Are there still people out there who will actually have their presidential choice altered by his endorsement?
That is seriously scary. That is further evidence that maybe we should scrap this experiment with democracy and universal suffrage. Not saying I know what we should replace it with, but good grief, haven't the last eight years, if not the last forty years, made it clear what a farce it has become?
So let him endorse whomever. He still will be without any soul, having sold it years, if not decades, ago.
