What do you expect from somebody named Bunnyrabbit?

This seems to be a trend. For the last video (or was it the one before that) a few "bunny" type names wrote in to hail the video a work of comedic genius.

Gosh... these "bunny" people couldn't be the actually creators of the video, could they? (Or friends of the creators...)

Hmmmmm.... I wonder what the wittle bunnies would say...

I've been watching the bunny videos for a long time. I don't know why I keep coming back, but I guess it goes something like this:

"Hey, Salon keeps promoting these bunny videos. I didn't like them the last time, but you know, sometimes things get better as they go. Maybe the creators are evolving the humor, doing new things, getting more sophisticated. After all, Salon wouldn't keep promoting and paying for this if it wasn't pretty good, right? They have editorial standards. Maybe they're 'growing' this feature, giving it time to develop. So I guess I'll take another look and try, with an open mind, to find the quality and humor in the latest bunny video."

I've clicked "play" with that thought process in mind probably 6 to 10 times in the past year or more since the bunny videos started. I guess I just like Salon and want to give its writers and creators a chance. I like subversive, weird, undergroundy things. I like cute animals, even ones that reproduce and poop and eat the flowers on people's lawns way too much.

But then I watch the latest "Rabbit Bites." And each time, I am left afterward thinking, "Why was this made? What were the creators' intentions? Why do editors keep green-lighting this? What is the inside story -- what inside friendship allows this to continue without regard for the audience's time wasted? Where is the substance of this? Is it supposed to be satirical and if so, where is the satire? Why do the creators assume that they can get by on high-pitched voices and quivering noses without writing something worthwhile? What thick delusion are these people living in? Are drugs involved?"

I love animals, I love good comedy, I love satire, I love Salon. But "Rabbit Bites" makes no sense.
