Summary of the Birthers in this thread:

LondonLad: Incoherent. Spends half the time misusing John Lennon lyrics, the other half calling people "c*nt." Has been repeatedly challenged to make his case clearly and coherently, but only comes up with vague rhetorical questions that amount to nothing.

terkoy: Empty. Long ago gave up on having a position or point. Is now reduced to vaguely expressing his desire to see the president killed (via "lethal injection" -- oh, he's a witty one!).

Calif. Mike: Confused. Keeps trying to change the subject to college records and such, even though it's unrelated to the Birthers' primary claims. (This would appear to be evidence that he's given up.)

Others: Few have written anything memorable, but among those who have, the arguments have been pretty well demolished.

Add to the above the fact of Orly Taitz getting embarrassed by an ACTUAL forged document, and what do you have?

A conspiracy cult in its death throes.

@R. Thompson

R. Thompson: "Let's review:

* Everybody who knew his family back then has confirmed he was born in Hawaii.

* He obtained a certificate of live birth, the same one everybody gets in Hawaii.

* He posted it, and the state of Hawaii confirmed that they had provided one.

* The state of Hawaii's spokesperson for the Department of Health has confirmed she has seen the original.

* She also confirms the documentation shows that he was born in Hawaii.

* Kenya claims no birth records for him exist.

* Nobody in the birther movement has yet to produce a shred of evidence that he was born elsewhere; the entire case is built on theories and guesses.

* Everybody involved who has responsibilities and things to do refuse to provide any additional evidence, because they believe they have done enough

* Birthers draw the bizarre conclusion that this proves there is "something to hide", and not that some people have more important tasks than mollifying nut jobs until they finally accept basic reality."

Well put. None of the people here have been able to respond to these points in any substantive or even base-level intelligent way.

They keep claiming Obama's "hiding something" based on....what, exactly? Nothing.

They also keep failing to say what it is he could be hiding that would in any way, shape or form be of compelling interest or concern.

Orly Taintz

What a great name! It sounds like the name of the lead singer in a punk band.

Speaking of punk, I hope the "punk'd" story is true. If so -- bravo.

@LondonLad

LondonLad: "I will be back shortly with a fully charged tazer to flambe your butt and so light up the night sky after you have, as expected, either evaded the question or supplied an entirely wrong answer."

This sentence pretty well sums up all you have left in the entire debate: Posing.
