Seymour Hersh would call them truth seekers...

Monday, November 23, 2009 10:16 AM

As I mentioned in the previous climategate thread

it's very simple to clear this up...Provide the deleted emails and if there's nothing there, case closed...I'm sure there's also an Ombudsman to sort or the illegal act of intenionally trying to skirt FOI requests...

ondelette

do you actually know how email works? Do you think hitting the delete button erases all trace history? If you work in an office environment with servers, routers, switches, firewalls, backups it would take me a mintue to find out if you visited dirtysciencechicks.com in 2002...Either way, now that all their data has been exposed I'm sure the fine folks at Hadley will divulge this missing info...If only to prove their science...

So ondelette

This issue could be resolved very quickly...We ask the four scientists who conspired to delete their emails to cough them up or we take an mail archival tool and restore them from backups...If they have nothing to hide this is a pretty simple process...Unless of course they're profiting from their data or trying to patent some sort of preventive climate change device...I've also decided to take your advice and delete my emails lest my server be hacked...

@ondelette

for someone claiming to be a scientist you're either naive or dishonest...You can spin this any way you like...If my co-workers asked me to delete my email I'd politley tell them to fuck off...Also, it would take approx 8 seconds for a forensic auditor to find these...So let's ask our friends at the Hadley CRU to open up the books in the name of scientific advancement...All emails and documents intact...

@ondelette

There's a big difference between deleting emails vs. asking someone to delete emails...I bet you think Nixon was just freeing up space when he was erasing his oval office recordings...

@ondelette

so are you equating these Hadley CRU scientists with corpo execs and lawyers?

@ondelette

Does your wife routinely ask her fellow researchers to delete emails?

I am both a gardener and an outdoorswoman. I have different eyes than city folks. I'm seeing the changes, as are my fellow sportsfolks and gardeners.

Yup, that's empirical scientific evidence alright...When are you presenting this for peer review?

Who here routinely asks co-workers

to delete email correspondence (especially when it shows all your hard "honest" work)...These science geeks must be pretty smart to think that "deleting" emails makes them go away...

@wgsalter

But while what you say about Paul is not a "lie", it is an exaggeration. I'm not a Paul supporter, but here are his principles as he laid them out:

1. Rights belong to individuals, not groups.

2. Property should be owned by people, not government.

3. All voluntary associations should be permissible — economic and social.

4. The government's monetary role is to maintain the integrity of the monetary unit, not participate in fraud.

5. Government exists to protect liberty, not to redistribute wealth or to grant special privileges.

6. The lives and actions of people are their own responsibility, not the government's.

Items 4 and 5 certainly suggest that he does expect government to exist and play a meaningful role, however minimalist his sensibilities.

Not all judicial systems offer due process. Some are show trials and some are corruptly controlled by the state.

If you need concepts like that explained to you, please go find some remedial history or law class; this isn't the place for you.

Roeder's biggest mistake

is that he didn't yell out "Allahu Akbar"...It makes it much harder to paint him as a victim now...

Thursday, November 12, 2009 09:54 AM

Hat's off to you Glenn...

This guy has two kills under his belt impressive...Most Muslim lunatics (ie Jihadist, Islamist, Mujahadeen, Gods Army, need I go on) already have two kills before they turn 14...Nice try though...

@Farrgut

diable

You said this:

The reason people like him and beatoff watch Faux news is that it strokes their egos. It tells them exactly what they want to hear, not what is the truth. No wonder they get maniacally defensive when anyone dares criticize it. Like someone mentally ill whose defense mechanisms are under pressure and about to snap, they lash out in order to protect the facade, lest it crumble and reveal the truth: it's all a lie.

Personally, I think the snarling and snapping of that internet liar BeatOff and the simplistic dirge-like winger mantras from farragut are proof-positive of this phenomena.

My posting referenced viewing CNN.

Now go get your bejeweled blackberry, buy your This is It tickets, and schedule your bikini wax/fake tan
