[Read more letters about this article: Here]why I would have to "dig down" through the site to find news about Obama condemning his pastor (or as Obama puts it his "crazy uncle") of 20 years...The same pastor that's been spewing Anti-American, Anti-White, Anti-Semitic garbage...The same pastor who's an apologist for Louis "Jews are a gutter religion" Farrakan...The same pastor that says HIV/Aids is a plot by the White man to eradicate Blacks...the same pastor that says God "Damn" America...The same pastor that Obama has been relying on for religious guidance for the last 20 years...The same Pastor that Michelle Obama gets her talking points from...I guess this isn't newsworthy...I have a hard time buying Obamas disingenuous remarks that the "congregation" doesn't agree with Pastor Wright...One only has to watch the hootin and hollerin at every racist piece of hate that comes out of his mouth...Well if Salon is going to ignore it then I'll have to link it to sites that actually deem this news...

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Would you attend a church, mosque or synagogue if your religious leader "Priest/Pastor, Rabbi or Imam" subjected the congregation to what amounts as hate speech? Would you brush off this speech as generational or not indictive of your personal beliefs? Would you allow your kids to be influenced by this so called "Religious Scholar" or would you simply walk away and find another place of worship that was similar to your own personal beliefs? I guess to me the answer seems rather easy...

Sorry, but it was Obmaa himself that brought up his religion, congregation and religious advisor prior to the South Carloina primaries...He didn't seem to differ with Pastor Wright back then...Why has opinion changed now?

[Read more letters about this article: Here]1. Black churches are much more practical. That means you can tell how much good they do in this world. Just look at what Barack's church does to help out people in Chicago. Nobody would fault Barack's church.
Well I guess that's news to all the White folks who go to church and give nothing back to their community.
2. Black churches often have inspirational, ego-driven pastors. That sems to be true in this case, but the pastor does not negate the church's good works.
Have you seen the exceprts from Pastor Wrights DVD...When you stand up and clap and holler as the hate spills out of his mouth you are guilty by associataion. I'm sure there are many Black Congregations that perform admirable community services where the Pastor preaches love and tolerance...If this is where Obama derives his "inspiration" then why is he not standing by Jeremiah Wright. Why is he distancing himself. Please watch the DVD and what you'll see is a caricature of a Black Congregation"...Almost looks like a "Def Comedy (Hatefest) Jam"
3. Black churches usually have fantastic music. White folks go there sometimes just for the music.
I guess they also dance better. Thanks for the lesson in stereotypes...

[Read more letters about this article: Here]You can talk about me personally all you want but please address these specific remarks from Pastor Wright...These are not "My" words they are the words of a preacher and "spiritual" advisor to Barack Obama...Jeremiah Wright is a close personal friend (or old Uncle) as Obama puts it.

I would assume there are other recordings that will pop up shortly and Obama is further distancing himself as part of a "prevent defense"...The problem is that he acutally believes that we will fall for another of his so called repudiations...For a man of such great oratory skills it sure takes some time for certain thoughts to come out...

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Oh brilliant one...Please tell me why Obama decided "today" was the day to repudiate uncle Wright's "Philosophies"...Was this because of the media shitstorm or does he acutally believe his own words...Folks are on here stating that Obama distanced himself last year...Please provide the links...As well the sermon in question is from Christmas of 2007...This begs two qustions: 1) Why did it take Obama until March 14th 2008 (Almost 3 months) to "find out about" and "denounce" these comments? 2) Why wasn't Obama at the Christmas sermon?
