@xufapema

No, you're right, I wouldn't allow a mechanic to keep working on my car if he thought it was evil. But by the same token, I also wouldn't think the 'mechanic' was going to change his ways just because I gave him something bigger and more expensive to work on either. This is what I don't understand about the average voter. We're inundated with reports of government mismanagement almost on a daily basis, yet we seem willing to just keep shoveling good money after bad, in the hopes that somehow, it'll all work out. Any 'real' business with a fiscal track record of our government, would no longer exist in the marketplace. And no one in their right mind would ever trust them or invest another dime in it.

Original article: Am I sexist if ...

@Elephant man

Of course you're a racist! Jeeeese waddayou thinkin'! (just kidding)... That's assuming, of course, that you're white, because blacks can't be racist, no matter what the circumstance. And of course, only men can be sexist. Women can only be sexy ....... I suppose the cries of 'sexism' and 'racism' are the fallback positions of those that need to offer up excuses for failure, and a lack of qualifications......

Rome is burning, and the Idiots want a debate!

So what's the big deal? Now, all of a sudden, showing up for a scripted debate has taken on the importance of the Paris Peace Accords, and most likely, will be as productive. What a bunch of bitchy, media driven dolts. The loudest whining is come from the TV stations that have to reschedule their crappy programming. I'll rent a video and wait till these clowns agree on another date..

You Might Consider Psychological Counceling Schaller...

............if this is the best you can come up with............ Or, maybe you're just accustomed to women in overstuffed pantsuits screaming at the camera.

No, What Really "Sucks" Schaller......

.....Is that you lack the class to leave politics out of the story of a great guy passing away. ...................You're the polar opposite of Newman.

Original article: Paul Newman dead

@nancerich

Try reading my post a little slower, maybe then you'll understand my point.. My criticism is of Schaller, not Paul Newman, who I think was a great guy, and deserves a little more respect than was shown by Schaller, using him to make a lame political point. I know it's hard for some to understand, but not everything is about the election. Schaller should have the decency to write a little something good about the guy. It's not hard to find, Newman's career is legendary. Instead, Schaller's post reads like a high school text message. Why even bother? ...... You did well, choosing Newman as a hero.

Politics as Usual, from Both Sides

Even Harry Reed said they needed McCains "bipartisan view", until he was reminded there was a campaign going on, and quickly stuffed his foot back into his mouth. Jeeese Harry, at least give Obama a call, he might still be waiting by the phone! ..... If this is the best the Dems. and Republicans can do, this country is in for one helluva rough ride.

Hey, Wise up Joe!

................The word you should have used is 'Socialist'.....but that might have confused folks.

Ya Ya Sisterhood!!

A lot less offensive than Hillary talking Ebonics to African Americans.

Ifill' Stroking Obama in her New Book due out on Inauguration Day

And she wonders why she got blown off? Duh! She wants a debate? How about a debate on her biased objectivity?

Original article: A new big lie by the GOP

Now who's doing the Spinning?

I would think the phrase "poor minority" says it all. If you're "poor", what the hell are you doing with a mortgage? Contrary to popular belief, owning a home, along with health care, education, drivers licenses, and every other manner of social programs isn't a 'right'. So there's a half truth to this story, as usual.. Minority lending DID contribute to the mortgage crisis, as did every other yahoo who borrowed over his head and treated home ownership like a private bank account; refinancing for cars and vacations. Doesn't matter if you make a million or 15 grand a year, if you're over extended the results are the same.......

Original article: A debate for sobering times

@The New Number 2

If you believe America is so "evil" why do you continue living here? I'm sure there's an abandoned boat lying on the Florida coastline somewhere, the Cubans would be happy to get back. 'Course you won't be able to post anything critical of Castros government, or anything at all, for that matter.

Welcome to the USSR: ....United States Socialist Republic

I don't see what the big surprise is here. What's the complaint? Democrats have been whining about the social inequities of the capitalist system for years. This is just the first step before airlines, car companies, the healthcare industry, energy companies, and any other 'evil' company that needs to be brought in line with some specious social standard, all suffer the same fate. Then in about five years, when gas lines are around the block, because still, nothing has been done about the energy problem, and health care has declined to a third world level, we'll try to 'fix' it once again. Maybe at that time, the clueless, out of touch idiots in Congress will actually take the time to read the bill they're passing. But in the interim, I suggest they read, and study, the Constitution.

@ Gordon Wagner

Backed by what? A 24 hour printing press, and a pocket full of worthless reassurances? No, we have to get back to the gold standard.

Friday, October 10, 2008 12:13 PM

Oh, Now I Get It!......

The 'Government' is basically a business, that really doesn't produce anything, and "we the people' are indentured life long employees. Jeeese, what was I thinking? I thought they worked for us! What an archaic notion I've had. ........In case you hadn't noticed, the government HAS been on a spending spree; with disasterous results. It's time to end this stupidity, not compound it with more of the same.

Saturday, October 11, 2008 06:15 AM

What's more Dishonorable?.......

......McCains campaign, or Americas affirmative action campaign to elect Obama? Neither one of these two are fit to be president. The former because we know more than enough about him, and the latter because we know too little, and are afraid to ask.
