So what's the point of this article?

It fails to tie President Obama into any of this. The only 'implication' is what Koppelman chooses to infer to support the thesis of the article. Of course, you'd have to actually listen to the rest of his rant (Becks), which I did; to realize that, as incoherent as he appears at times, he was railing at society in general. Kinda like those folks that blame teen violence on video games; he's got the religious ax to grind......And Malkin sees left wing conspiracies in her cereal bowl. What do you expect? She's about as moderate as Pelosi or Reid....

So what's the surprise?

This is what you get when the preserving party; Democrat or Republican, becomes more important than the country and the people.....

"For us to say that you've got to take a responsibility to get health insurance is absolutely not a tax increase."

No, it's not; it's beyond ludicrous. The very idea that the federal government somehow thinks it has an unwritten mandate that allows it to dictate what I can do with MY body is moronic; ( Roe v. Wade) But, the sheep are lining up; driven by fear and ignorence as usual..... I decide how to keep ME healthy! Not some overweight, chainsmoking, self serving, hypocritical politician that doesn't give a damn about anything more that gaining a little more power......No, it's not a tax; it's an absolute rip off...I could use that 'tax' money to STAY healthy; not buy into a system based on failure, that I don't use...What's next, a tax on the solar panels I don't have?

Meet the men who changed Barack Obamas life.....

...........Rev Wright and Bill Ayers................Guess we won't be seeing a three page dissertation on those clowns.....

@dumbbastard

Let me clarify; 97% of African Americans in Philadelphia voted for Obama over Hillary in the primary....I didn't hear anyone allude to racism then.. In fact we had people coming right out and saying they were voting for Obama BECAUSE he was black. There's no such thing as 'reverse racism'. Just plain ol' racism....so you draw you're own twisted conclusions about peoples motivations... Some folks see race in everything....guess that's your cross to bear..not mine...Funny thing is there seems to be this notion in this country that people of color can't possibly be racist....Ever talk to a Jamaican black or a South African Black? How about someone from Puerto Rico or Colombia? I think you'd be a little surprised at what you hear....

Or you can just go on whining about those racist white folks... doesn't require much brain power, so you should feel comfortable...

Ahhhh.....Yawn!!! Ya never seem to get tired of beating that same old race drum..

Of course when 97% of blacks in Philladelphia. voted for Obama, that was considered a 'prudent choice'....the rest of us rich, gun totin', church goin', SUV drivin', Starbucks suckin' whites must be racist! Oh my, I feel so................................NOT bad! The presidency isn't an affirmitive action postion.....get over it!

Original article: Glenn Beck -- germophobe

@highlyunlikely......an appropriate moniker..

It's highly unlikely you listened to all of Beck's comments on Katrina...I mean why would you? You're evidently not a fan of the show...So as usual we have someone taking a statement out of context in order to prove a point. ....I get the feeling you're going to have a hard time understanding what "out of context" really means. But "Beck blames Katrina victims" is a good 'talking point'. But the trouble with 'talking points' is they require a blind faith in the statement coupled with very little brain activity......Sort of like a religion.

Original article: Vanity Fair's TARP takedown

@austinboy

That's great news! Could you pass it along to Chrysler; 'cause they just said they're not paying back about 5 billion..... Oh well, a few billion here, a few billion there; it's just numbers....and I've gotta go pay my credit card bill......Hmmm, maybe I should tell then the same thing?

Original article: Vanity Fair's TARP takedown

"It's hard for me to understand how you can write 6,400 words on TARP and not ask an economist's opinion".......

.......And what would that have clarified for you? Anything? Another 'expert' economist; and another useless opinion. These are the same so called 'experts' that never saw this coming, but somehow, now feel qualified to offer up solutions.

You may as well ask for an opinion on the Mayan calender doomsday prophesies for 2012. At least we'd be entertained...

Original article: Healthcare, American style

@Jugsouthgate...We're not all so sick, actually. The problem is that a person can go from being very healthy to very sick very quickly

....Then apparently they weren't as "very healthy" ast hey appeared to be. Almost every condition being medically treated today is on the increase. From cancer; high blood pressure to diabetes and obesity in children. You don't think this society is getting sicker? Well, then I would think the idea of a drive thru drug store would be thing of the past! Holy shit! A drive thru drug store! Pharmacies in supermarkets! Never seen twenty years ago. We've got half the population jacked up on prescription meds and too stupid to figure out the system isn't working. If it was, there'd be less hospitals; no CVS's' or Wallgreens and no debate. We wouldn't even be discussing it here........And now a government that can't run anything, from the Post office to Amtrak or social security etc etc. On and on; just point your finger at the 'program'....;is now going to entrusted with running healthcare?.....Bizzaro logic.......Just make private insurance more accessible; competition across state lines etc, and I'll pick and pay for what I want......BTW we're already treating every illegal alien that walks into the emergency room....Seems my tax money gets to pay for that....
