@calgodot... "America breeds murderers and terrorists just like any other nation"

Yeah, maybe; but the numbers are far fewer than anywhere else, and I've not heard of any Christians, Buddhists or Hindus blowing themselves up in Times Square, or shooting folks at random for some 'heavenly reward'. I'd have to say the Muslim religion just might have a few inherent problems in it's so called 'philosophy' that precludes living peacefully a world with other faiths ...........So, where are you moving to?

@whoops

Actually, your "mutts' gots no "rights" at all. I know, I know; you probably find it hard to believe, but Fido was never mentioned in the Constitution. Despite what some in the Obama adminstration seem to think about legal court representation for animals....but it could be worse. They could live in Thailand or Cambodia where they're clubbed and eaten on a daily basis. BTW: 11 billion on dog food?!?!.. Oh well, I guess all those starving kids will just have to wait their turn......................Rover needs a new collar...Oh, and it's the cow that has a carbon footprint larger than an SUV......not a dog. I guess Andy's a little prone to doubling down on the "exaggeration" also. It's not the first time..

Lemme get this right...

I'm supposed to get all upset because a few harmless whackjobs pushed the envelope of good taste? All within their free speech rights, by the way. Yet, a certified holocaust denying; nuclear bomb waving, loony like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad can make speeches at Colombia University; threaten to wipe Isreal off the map, and that's fine?.......OK; I'm good with that.....guess I lost my perspective for a moment.

@K.A. Murphy.."The fact is there's an extremely large contingent of evangelical Christians in the US military and some of them make it their personal business to make life hell for everyone who isn't an evangelical Christian"

"Fact?" Do you have a source for this 'fact'? Or did you pull it out of some dark lower body cavity? Here's a few facts for you: You don't know for sure, if Hassan was picked on or discriminated against; or even if he was; that it was the reason for his actions. We do know that Columbine and many, if not all 'postal shootings' were NOT based on religious beliefs. We do know that religion played a part in Hassans lunacy. And we do know that Muslims have an inherent religious dislike and lack of tolerance for all other religions. I've not heard of any gays or Wikkan's screaming "the dark side is great!", right before going postal.

So when I read statements such as the military had a "fear of appearing discriminatory against a Muslim student' which "kept officers from filing a formal complaint." I have a hard time believing that they were making his life "hell" at the same time. Seems a little contradictory to me. But you seem set on blaming the victim/ military. I've read Muslims blame women when they're raped also. Yeah; it's always someone elses fault.......BTW I just read Saudi Arabia is beheading a child molester AND crucifying him this weekend. Just to make sure he's dead, I guess. It's so good to see the progress these wonderful civilized societies are making. I'm sure once the oil runs out; they'll all be back in the desert; in a tent. And they'll still be blaming the 'Great Satan'.........

@Greenholdt.....

........."While no one can condone what happened at Fort Hood, it amazes me that folks are surprised that it happened---or seek to draw a with a broad brush a picture that all Muslims in the military are suspect"..........

..............So, who would you suggest we keep a closer eye on now that a Muslim fanatic has murdered 13 people; wheelchair bound, African Americans with Irish parents? What amazes me are spineless PC loons, that will bend over backwards to blame this on anything and everyone except the shooter, just to avoid the risk of offending a group that you're probably afraid of anyway.. Now that's amazing! But it also explains why grandma is getting strip searched at the airport...And I thought Muslims killing people over a lousy cartoon was bad. But you know what's worse? People that bend over; grab their ankles and allow it to continue by refusing to acknowledge the obvious.

@Greenholdt...wrong again Nostradamus...

Don't like Rush, and I don't listen to him longer than the thirty seconds it takes to figure out where he's coming from... But, megadittos to you anyway...

"If Archer could so easily figure out that Roeder was a threat to Tiller, why didn't the FBI?"....DUH?

You answered your own question. Archer knew Roeder personally and had a vested interest in getting dirt on Roeder; so, he had the incentive and opportunity. The FBI had neither......

This is laugh out loud funny!

So, now you want to trot out the Constitution when it's convenient. Strange, you weren't complaining when the government was taking over banks, car companies; restructuring the free market, mandating healthcare, and controlling free speech with the 'Fairness Doctine'. Just to name a few 'grey' Constituional areas...Hmmm, what's that word that comes to mind again again? Oh yeah 'hypocrite'.......The problem is, these guys have already admitted they're guilty. Which kinda negates the need for a trial. At least that's what my Constitution says; maybe you have the Cliffnotes version.

Original article: Yes, it's Obama's war now

Omigod! it's our fault!

I love this "we created the terrorists" psycho babble that gets trotted out every time the media or anyone opposed to the war tries to rationalize the poor insurgents blowing up their own countrymen, and screaming "death to America". Which; by the way, they were doing long before the Iraq war.. I guess we're to blame for that also. Do they not bear any responsibility for their actions? Or should we treat them as children; still growing; and unable to grasp the basic tenets of living in a civilized society? If that's the case; I guess they really do need to be 'parented' by the U.S.

@virtue001..."why are liberals so quick to call others racist"?

Simple really; when civilized discourse fail, or the logic of your argument is irrefutable, the personal attacks begin. Actually, you weren't really supposed to post a comment on being called a 'racist'; the appropriate response is to curl up in the fetal position filled with guilt and remorse, unable to function another minute.

.....................The race card only works on the mentally vulnerable. .
