Interesting Moral Relativism

Mr Schaller gets "frustrated when conservatives use the "question of judgment" rationale to equate a long standing friendship, that has no bearing on policy or governing...." So, you would have us believe that a 20 year stint in a church that espouses a racist theology will have no effect on the policies and judgment of Barack Obama at all? That he just sat there week after week, in a vacuum, unaffected or moved by what he was hearing? That he somehow rose above it all, saw the light, and had a "come to Jesus" moment? Based on what; a successful campaign and a few 'lets all feel good' speeches? Or perhaps you would have us believe that churches play no role in forming our core beliefs and morals at all, and he was just passing the time..

So, you have "Zero desire to Murder your own meat"

You really wouldn't be "murdering"; a term reserved for the human species; you'd be 'killing'. Unless, in your view, alot of people are no more intelligent than Bambi, then I can see where some of your confusion might come from. I once had a dog that could balance a treat on his nose, a feat most of my friends couldn't match. Smarter than them? Maybe. I eventually had to put him to sleep in order to end his suffering in his old age. I wasn't cited for murder......It's interesting that those unable to kill the meat they're eating have no problem with someone else doing it, as long as it's out of sight and mind. These are the same folks that have no problem walking into a restaurant and pointing to the lobster they want. Go figure.

"Only the blindly partisan" could blame Bush for an economy heading into recession?

Looks like the "blindly partisan", will be sworn into office in January....But you folks in the media love operating in crisis mode 24/7...Like jackals snapping on each others heels, you'll turn on the next president in due course.....Meanwhile, how about trotting out the killer bird flu pandemic story again.? I kinda' miss those days of breathless hysteria. Throw in a couple of polar bears clinging to an ice floe also..........Life is good!

Gee Sorry Rance

Didn't mean to ruin your crisis.....I have no plans on self termination though. Having too much fun right here.........

Original article: The perils of cheap oil

"Alberta oil sands uneconomic"?

According to T. Boone Pickens, back in the sixties they were dreaming of the day when oil would hit 20 bucks a barrel and make Alberta viable. $40 a barrel is a gift from heaven.. Hopefully this president will come up with an energy plan that's a little more comprehensive than 'developing alternative fuels and conserving'. We're obviously already conserving. Alternative energy development is fine; but we still need a bridge between here and the day when an alternative source comes online. That 'bridge' is still oil; along with nuclear, hydroelectric, coal, and natural gas.

Hold on a second Fallonius!

I've never been over your house! Let me see if I can post a picture. Hmmm strange; the web cam seems to have developed a cracked lense.

Original article: Ask Pablo

How does that Freight get to the Train or Plane?

Most likely by truck. So that kind of screws up the equation and possibly involves another step in the shippng process, and an increased potential for damage.

"It's governments Job to "take care of the collective?"...........

You must have a different copy of the Constitution than I do............Which one is it; the Pravda edition?

I guess the money only becomes "evil".....

.....When it's running the party you don't like.......Can you say "hypocrisy?"

Technically speaking.......

.......the British government does not recognize any of it's natural born citizens becoming citizens of another country. They are always considered 'subjects of the crown'... and can hold two passports if desired.

An Awful lot of Whining Going on Here...

Fox makes a good move... So what's the problem? It not as if the New York Times or Washington Post have been hot on the story.......

Saturday, December 27, 2008 05:47 PM

Gee, it's A little Strange..........

.......how blacks can vote for Barack Obama "nineteen to one"; an "incredible margin" according to Koppelman, and not be called racist, or even have anyone in the media speculate along those lines, yet we spent two weeks before the election wondering about the possibility of a 'Bradley effect'..............That's a lot funnier than that crummy CD.

...If the "ADP has changed it's methodology".....

......How about letting us know how? Do the numbers appear worse or better than they would under the old system? .......As far as Monsanto is concerned, they're a "friend" of no one but Monsanto. Their genetically modified crops have done more to harm to the environment than Global Warming could ever accomplish. The blissfully ignorent will plant and consume this 'modified' garbage and eventually pay a far larger price.

Your "happiness" is not the issue.....

This poor illegal drug smuggler fled back into Mexico, sued the U.S.: became an informer for the U.S. Government and continued to run drugs; and commit more crimes. How many more US citizens lives were ruined by this piece of crap? And you feel bad because he got shot in the ass? .....This type of thinking is what happens when political ideololgy becomes more important than right and wrong.......Please, continue to feel bad...That's your choice.

"I'm open to your suggestiions".....

Translation: He has no plan, and is as clueless as the rest of those clowns. I would have expected at least hear an outline of possibilities under consideration. Asking Senators for suggestions is like my mechanic asking ME how to fix my car. Doesn't exactly boost my confidence in the outcome.

"Real Science comes to Washington?"

You mean, "real science" that falls into the social and political ideology of the current administration. Nothing new here. The Catholic church has been beating that 'socio/science' drum for hundreds of years.....But I'm curious: What exactly IS the correct temperature for this globe we all live on? In other words; what's the goal here? When will we say "mission accomplished"? Or is it more along the lines of an 'ecological affirmitive action' plan; with no real defined end date?

Original article: Obama's call to arms

Well as long as the article is quoting scripture... allow me..

I'm pretty sure when Jesus said "turn the other cheek, he didn't instruct us to grab for our ankles and wiggle our hips in the process. ....Sorry; allowing "ten guilty men to go free' in this case, could result in thousands of innocents being "punished'......
