  • Why do we pay any attention to Karl Rove at all?

[Read the article: Karl Rove is ... right?]

    Folks,

Karl Rove is not a disinterested observer of the political scene. Should it come a surprise that Mr. Rove doesn't see much success for the Democrats? His entire job is to criticize and weaken Democrats. I say pay no attention to what this guy says. As Salon has pointed out many times, Mr. Rove has been wrong many times before, and I assume he'll be wrong about this too.

What we should be focused on is building upon the strong foundation that Democrats have built during the last two elections. I am frequently discouraged that people don't seem to understand that it will take time to clean-up the mess Bush and the Republicans have made of the nation. It has been one year since Democrats gained control of the Congress. Our expectations for the immediate change were probably mistaken. Let's not give up hope just because the change we want is not happening overnight.
