Bullshit, You Are Dead Wrong. No matter how wealthy and educated a black person was in Jim Crow, they still had fewer-to-no rights before a poor white person. A poor white person's word had validity in a court of law - a black person's word did not in the testimony against whites. Exception: if and only if the white accused was Jewish. Jim Crow was created to not only economically denigrate and subjigate blacks, but also socially and psychologically as well. Emmett Till came from a middle-class black family. His murderers were poor whites who were qucikly acquitted by poor whites. Poor blacks were not even allowed to sit in the courtroom-Emmett Till's mother was given special dispensation after the New York Times made a stink before a federal court in the Northern District.

Poor whites were allowed better employment opportunites, if the option was hiring a black person. So, BULLSHIT. Poor white benefited alright. which is why whites in Appalachia stay dead-asspoor and politically subjigated - no blacks around to leap over in the area to be the whipping boy. No wonder pooor southern whites started voting Republican. Oh, and those whites who immigrated to America after Jim Crow: this nation was built on the free labor of blacks. The opportunity of America of which you were attracted to - well my ancestors built the attraction - for free and at great sacrifice - and were not allowed to benefit! Under Jim Crow we were killed, had our property stolen, our male members killed or run off, shitty-ass schools, sterilized against our will, immoral medical experiments performed on us for the benefit of drug therapy for whites(including the poor ones) only. Not all colored folks have to appreciate some so-called sacrifice that white liberals believe they've made-especially when they haven't "sacrificed" since 1970. We made much larger sacrifices, we still sacrifice and fight every fuckin' day for good schools, neighborhoods, police respect, basic municipal services. And most of that shit we can't get.

Republilcans have hurt us more than Democrats? Well, the Republicans have had damaging and reprehensible policies that have hurt African Americans. BUT, the Democrats have done absolutely nothing to stop them! - except tell black folks that the Dems are our only choice. maybe ask yourself why your first black president failed to overturn the draconian Crack laws that criminalized black men, removing them from the communities, half-orphaning their children, condemning them to lives of recividism and/or poor job prospects. Where's Hillary's universal health care policy? They promised, we voted for them and we got nothing. Where was your Democratic party when black Floridians asked to speak on the Senate floor aabout 2000 voter "irregularity" and were summarily dismissed and not allowed to speak to the Congressional Record by Senate Democrats including Al Gore and John Kerry?
