There is community global warming. Our real issues (legal abortion, in my opinion ain't one of them-it cannot come before achieving basic heath care in our communities) need to be dealt NOW. You're comfortable with white liberals and Democrats setting your community and your peoples agenda. Good fo you. Perhaps is the organized pro-abortion groups, including NOW, NARAL and Planned Parenthood, would actually get new mission statements to include protecting the full rights of women to INCLUDE mothers (both married and single) as well as women seeking abortion, then maybe we'd vanquish the draconian laws that pop up under state- and somethimes county- and municipal rights.

All of those groups would be REAL forces to be reckoned with had they not taken the one-and-not- the-other dogma of being all about aborton rights, BUT also about women who want to keep the "zygotes" that they begome pregnant with.

Imagine if these groups had leaned on Congress AND every single lawmaker in the country to provide free health care for children, better schooling starting with the head start program for ALL, a nice stipend for every woman when the baby is born (like in most of the EU), paid family leave for up a full year. "Yep, you want us to have babies, then the government subsidize us in every way possible. Oh, and free prenatal from the time the pregnancy test turns blue.

Yep, if those so-called feminists crones had taken up that mantle, the anti-abortionist supporting lawmaker would have gone the way of the DoDo bird with the 1988 elections. An federally funded abortion is a lot cheaper than that Pork.

But if you only really care about a certain class of women (white and middle), and the only time a mother's rights matter is when you believe you can use those threatened rights as cannon fodder, well...
