Well said

Well said David Talbot! I am betting Chris Matthews never read the Warren Report he is pretending to agree with. He should have you on his show if he wants to take shots at you. Hang in, because I think you can expect more of the same from the Washington press corp. Or press corpses! Thanks rjwinge, that's a great line!

Silliest issue

This is the silliest issue to be bandied about in Washington in so long. Valerie Plame was under cover?? She was undercover until ANYONE besides the CIA and Valerie Plame knew she was undercover. How many White House staffers knew she was under cover?? The only people who blew her cover were CIA or maybe Valerie herself. If the media finally got wind of it, they were not the first ones to know. This lady commuted to CIA headquarters everyday, that too blew her cover. Don't you think the KGB and other intelligence services watch to see who commutes to CIA everyday? Too bad Valerie wasn't wearing a false nose and a wig on that daily commute. This is just more CIA bungling.

If you really want her to go away...

If you want to lose Paris, and we all do, why not just ignore her. Writing a piece calling attention to her does not help.

Why there will always be an Electoral College

Here, here, let's abolish the Electoral College!!! Yahoo!!!!

What a great idea! Now how many Democrats and Republicans are in favor of doing just that?? Absolutely zero. The last serious attempt to abolish the EC was fought off by Senator John F. Kennedy. Why wasn't Al Gore and all the other Democrats screeching about this after 2000? Simply put, both parties know that the EC can work to their advantage and let them steal an election they don't deserve, such as George W. Bush in 2000. The Gore people sensed they might win in the EC but lose the popular vote. Hence, they released a statement only a week before the election in 2000, reminding all of us that the winner in the EC is THE president. I am all in favor of abolishing the EC, but the fact remains that there are no Democrats or Republicans of any stature pushing hard for such a change.

Original article: It's Biden

Another Obama blunder

Biden brings nothing to the ticket and does not help Obama in any important geographic region. Delaware is an asteroid in electoral politics. Then we have the Biden plagiarism from law school, plagiarized speeches, and the lying about his academic record in his undergraduate years as well as law school. Not to mention the verbal gaffes of 2008.

From the New York Times, Sept. 18, 1987:

"In his first three semesters, his grades were C's or D's, with three exceptions: two A's in physical education courses, a B in a course on ''Great English Writers'' and an F in R.O.T.C. The grades improved somewhat later but were never exceptional."

And: "The file distributed by the Senator included a law school faculty report, dated Dec. 1, 1965, that concluded that Mr. Biden had ''used five pages from a published law review article without quotation or attribution'' and that he ought to be failed in the legal methods course for which he had submitted the 15-page paper."

When questioned by a New Hampshire voter about his grades in law school, Biden responded angrily with false assertions:

" Mr. Biden looked at his questioner and said: ''I think I have a much higher I.Q. than you do.''

He then went on to say that he ''went to law school on a full academic scholarship - the only one in my class to have a full academic scholarship,'' Mr. Biden said. He also said that he ''ended up in the top half'' of his class and won a prize in an international moot court competition. In college, Mr. Biden said in the appearance, he was ''the outstanding student in the political science department'' and ''graduated with three degrees from college.''

In his statement today, Mr. Biden, who attended the Syracuse College of Law and graduated 76th in a class of 85, acknowledged: ''I did not graduate in the top half of my class at law school and my recollection of this was inacurate.''

As for receiving three degrees, Mr. Biden said: ''I graduated from the University of Delaware with a double major in history and political science. My reference to degrees at the Claremont event was intended to refer to these majors - I said 'three' and should have said 'two.' '' Mr. Biden received a single B.A. in history and political science.

''With regard to my being the outstanding student in the political science department,'' the statement went on. ''My name was put up for that award by David Ingersoll, who is still at the University of Delaware.''

In the Sunday interview, Mr. Biden said of his claim that he went to school on full academic scholarship: ''My recollection is - and I'd have to confirm this - but I don't recall paying any money to go to law school.'' Newsweek said Mr. Biden had gone to Syracuse ''on half scholarship based on financial need.''

Biden was a poor choice

Oh puleeze. Let's face facts that Biden was and is a poor choice and will likely hurt Obama in the end. Sure, the Republican candidates have issues too and that needs to be talked about. Biden brings nothing to the ticket besides his mouth which does not help. It says little for the people of Delaware that he is still there.

Obama lacks the experience

What a hatchet job! Palin has at least some executive experience in contrast to Obama and McCain. Obama has spent almost all his time running for president since arriving in the Senate. If the experience factor concerns you, then you have to worry about Obama.
