Why not vote for real change in 2008?

Yea, I'm cynical too. But I'm tired of whining about it; and I'm sick of all the negative energy... which accomplishes nothing.

The only progressive position worth considering at all anymore is to accept the American political system is corrupt through-and-through; then vow to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

I, for one, have tightened the grip I have on my wallet. The money I have in it is nearly worthless, but it is what it is.

Only one presidential candidate understands the 16th Amendment must be repealed if we're ever to regain our liberties.

And I have all the stuff I could ever want or need... so I work towards becoming a non-consumer... of anything that costs money, that is. My aim is to be completely self-reliant and anonymous - at least as far as this government is concerned... my hope is to become practically invisible... and dangerous... to all outside authority which might harm me.

I'm preparing every day for the coming financial meltdown - coming soon to a neighborhood near you - ready or not.

I've given up on the idea of believing anything I see or hear in the mainstream news media. In fact, I recognize it's all just a series of game shows full of make-believe... or the histrionics of professional blowhards... and self-important people given to way-cool, cutting-edge marketing and branding gibberish. It's all a fantasy land anyway, so why bother.

Even the internet is full of mindless chatter and noise. Sorry if you feel like I'm adding to it. :)

This presidential election cycle is little different from the last two. The admen and con-artists tell us how to think... so why wouldn't they tell us how to vote?

And because voting may soon become a quaint notion from the past... my intent is to vote one last time for Ron Paul in the Republican primary.

If he gets the nomination and can't beat Hillary in the general election then it'll be the last time I'll ever bother to vote again.

In our current circumstances, Ron Paul is the last best hope for America. Beyond that, only ruin will come to us; and the great experiment called America - once a great nation of laws, and principles, not men - will be lost forever.

Mark your calendar. Economic devastation is on its way... and it's unavoidable. Our best hope is that America will retain its sovereignty - and that you and I can restore a rule of law (as framed in the original Constitution) in this land once more.

Empty words and promises no longer cut it. False beliefs and cognitive dissonance won't relieve your suffering either. What you want is not what the fancy folks who own this country want... which, of course, is to permanently enslave you.

But Dr. Paul cured my apathy; and he can cure yours too. Please wake up before it's too late.

Peace

I am what I am... that I say I am

I am a sovereign Individual; and I am sovereign unto myself - which just means I rule my own mind and body.

I am an Independent agent dependent on no-one for very long. I am constantly seeking ways to improve my lot in life by dealing with all that I experience outside my mind and body.

I belong to no groups or collectivist organizations. Others may claim me as one of their own; yet I do not claim them - except in instances where it suits my purposes... or it improves my lot.

I do not willfully intend to harm anyone. And, though I'm not a religionist, I try to live by the Golden Rule. I seek pleasure at every turn.

I am mindful that the mere act of opening my mouth, or taking any action... within and beyond my own skin... through time and space... produces consequences.

This notion of "I" is a complete fabrication. And I will certainly, for any practical purpose, more than likely... change my mind... about everything.
