  • Why are students getting tasered on video?

[Read the article: Why are students getting Tasered on video?]

Because cops, in this case, campus security (excuse me while i throw up a little in my mouth) cops are so fucking stupid. Remember those dimwitted bullies in high school, yup, you guessed it... they've taken their bullying to the big leagues. Stop blaming the victim people. he got tasered for asking a long question. You get a taserin' for that??? idiot democrats (and god forbid, repugnicans) deserve to be put on the spot. idiot war mongers.

so if anyone recognizes the pigs caught tasering, please share your stories of them. i'm gonna go ahead and bet that they beat up on kittens, puppies, and their girlfriends.

  • gross!!!

Janet Huckabee & Judi Guiliani look like trannies.

Rudy left his second wife for that???!!!!

My vote is for Kucinich even if he isn't completely informed about Gandhi... the misogynist.

  • Fake Democracy

[Read the article: On the fake campaign trail]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

When will people realize that there is a better way to solve our problems this so-called democracy has created for us? The governmental/corporate elite are ruining our lives and we sit on our fat asses watching them. Republicrats, Demoplicans, They're all the fucking same!!! Do you see a pattern here? So these candidates go around during campaign and election time, pretending to care about your lives, then it comes time for whomever wins to "serve". Riiight. They end up serving billionaires, trillionaires. People with money... People with clout.

Start questioning, not candidates, but this life you lead. Why do we care about elections... are politicians the be all and end all???? If we want to see change, please don't rely on politicians and corporate assholes to do it... because they're going to do it their way and I can guarantee, you're not going to like it b/c it's (fill in your interest/cause du jour here) not in your interest. do it yourselves. Fight these greedy warmongers because things are getting worse and the system that is so fucked up to begin with will never fucking change..... It works for a small percentage of people, NOT the majority of us working slobs.

so, what are you waiting for?

  • Mental illness

[Read the article: Alleged hostage taker filed molestation suit]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I am no expert on mental illness but it sounds like Eisenberg is awfully representative of mainstream culture.

1.) He has sought out help from institutions we deem respectable- church, politics, & the law.

2.) He attempted to use violence to solve his problems.

3.) He attempted to rape a woman at knifepoint.- There are at least two news stories in the AP right now about women who were (more than likely sexually assaulted) and killed.

This culture is insane and until we start to reexamine the way we live, we will continue to see episodes like this one.

One more thing. I immediately thought this was a right wing terrorist. He still may be but don't expect that to come out in the news. Why is it that right wingers use violence to accomplish things, but it is forbidden for the left or anarcho-primitivists?

The fact is violence does solve problems and if this guy is morally & politically charged like those that blow up abortion clinics, assassinate progressive thinkers, then the left may want to reconsider their stance on pacifism, because it looks like the right (incl. dems & repubs) are winning.

    Crazy? I think not.

Really? Distancing yourself from those afflicted by mental illness is well, normal but don't get caught up in the details. No, it is not everyday in the good ol' US of A that someone straps some road flares to themselves to get their point across.

The crux of my position is this: holding people hostage with a bomb, at gunpoint, knifepoint, (name your weapon) is a pretty regular occurrence, namely in countries that we occupy...by our soldiers.

    get it now? good.

  • I actually like that idea

[Read the article: Sex offender alert!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Sexual predators should be shunned from society. period. the end. I'm sorry but i really can't muster up sympathy for the rights of people who prey on children and for the most part, women. It would be nice to get to the root of why (mostly) men get their jollies off of raping, sexually assaulting, torturing, & murdering children &/or women but let's face it we live in a society that thrives on de-humanizing sex and our bodies, so don't expect a cure for this behavior to come too soon.

Being embarrassed in public is the least of sexual predators' worries. they should be so lucky that they are allowed to live... but that's a whole other topic.

  • Remember folks:

Ralph Nader did not choose our President, the Supreme Court did.

Seriously, when are we going to challenge this insane system we call a representative democracy? There's nothing representative about our election process. Iowa, New Hampshire? the hell is that all about? notice how our corporate media doesn't question our electoral process? same ol' shit, different year, different faces. so much for campaign and election reform.

"We don't have a democracy, we have an auction" to choose the next dimwit to economically oppress us.

The sooner this system crumbles, the better.

  • Isn't it funny?

[Read the article: Ralph Nader loves John McCain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That Dems always blame Nader for losing elections and not Perot? I won't be voting for Nader since he takes money from Repugnants but I find it hard pulling a lever for either Dem in this race. Remember what they promised us in 2006, when they took over? Change my ass. why should we believe anything will change this time? Granted, Bush is scarier than shit, but keep in mind, many atrocities have happened under Dem watch as well. If Hillary Clinton's commercials are evidence as to what's to come, we can expect scary times under her watch as well. The "what she knows now" bullshit about Iraq doesn't fly as many people knew the invasion was predicated on Neo-con dreams dreamt up decades ago. you can't tell me she didn't see that one coming... and if Obama had the chance, he would have voted for the invasion as well. get real.
