Please, God, let it be so. If Obama wins, his most impressive accomplishment will have been putting together a coalition that ended the domination of the political discourse by religious extremists. Time to send these "folks" and their antediluvian views packing.
Really? Well... maybe not everybody's good graces--say, the voters of Connecticut. I hope Joe enjoys his last hurrah. He is finished in Connecticut. It's just too bad we have to put up with him for 4 more years.
You need to get a grip. Perhaps your problem is that you value all the wrong things in life-- all the things that can change in an instant. Get your head out of your own "perfect" life and try spending some time helping people who feel envious of those who have a place to live, something to eat, their health. There is nothing like putting yourself in the shoes of someone far less fortunate to change your perspective. Once you realize what the lasting and important things in life are, you will feel less insecure about the things you do and do not have.
