You got that right!

I will certainly be using this check to pay down my credit card debt. I recently cut up my credit card and threw it away and have dedicated myself to paying off this debt within the next 6 months. I made this commitment not least in part because of the many articles you've written on the subject and my desire not to go down that road. Nothing you can buy is worth a 30% finance charge.

Thank you, Salon

I agree with some of the other readers here who have expressed that Salon seems to be one of the only sites willing to offer both sides of an argument. I do think DeLong has got Wilentz here. More popular votes and more intense caucus support should of course lead to victory.

Although Wilentz's article was an interesting read, if not markedly pro-Clinton, it is hoping for a system that does not exist, and frankly one that no one likes to begin with. Many people detest the 'winner take all' system of the general election and favor proportionally awarding delegates, because that is literally more democratic.

Obama is more articulate, he was right on the war from 'day one' , he has a fairly strong Senate record thus far (aside from funding the war), and he does not have a penchant for putting his foot in his mouth. If that does not amount to greater electability against McCain, I don't know what does.

For the record, I supported Dennis Kucinich.

Mr. Koppelman!!!

DENNIS KUCINICH IS NOT A LAUGHINGSTOCK!! You, of all people, know full well that the case he has made against the president and vice president are completely legitimate. Why then would you belittle his attempt to uphold his duty to us as a member of Congress?! If every Congressman had as much moxie and integrity as Dennis Kucinich, WE NEVER WOULD HAVE GONE TO WAR!!

Well done, sir.

Once again, Andrew Leonard drives home the case against further oil exploration and sounds the rallying cry for a sensible (i.e. clean and renewable) energy future. I campaign for Greenpeace and I talk to people all day long about these issues and I have found that most of the support for increased domestic oil production (or fossil fuel production in general) as well as support for such sources as nuclear power and 'clean' coal are born out of ignorance of the tangled realities of this loaded issue. Stay the course Andrew! Let's hope Obama follows...

Go Glenn!!

At least there is one person in this rancid political environment that always speaks the truth. Rock on, Glenn!

Er... where was Mumbai?

There is no mention of Mumbai in this article.

Ahahahahahha

I've assembled my fair share of IKEA wears, and let's be honest it's not that hard... and the furniture is not that durable either. I too thought the layout of the store to be a little labyrinthine and the service more than a little impersonal. But let's be honest, this was funny as hell! It think that's all it was meant to be.

And for those that see persistent IKEA bashing on the part of Salon - they hate every aspect of the consumer culture. Why else would you read from here?

Go with Googl

I got the new Firefox beta and the new Chrome beta and I have to say that Google has given Firefox a run for its money. It fires up fast on my netbook, never lags, and you can switch between skins very easily. I like the feel of Chrome a lot more, and this is coming from someone who has sworn by Firefox for about 5 years now.
