The smell of BS

As a country girl, I can smell it a mile away. The 'letters' to Ms. Pagila have a distinct odor. Where did these letters come from? How can I contact her?

Sorry, the wording is too similiar, the answers too pat. I am not saying they are made up, but they just don't smell right. And as for Ms. Palin's struggles through college, give me a friggin' break! There are plenty of women who paid their way through college and didn't pick six schools. Palin is a show boater with the depth of a peanut and the arrogance of a CEO. She is just a mean, selfish woman who looks down on other people while pretending to be so Godly.

Salon, Enough of Ms. Paglia's pseudo crap; this isn't feminism it is just an attempt to be insightful that is failing miserably.

Don't pick on Tennessee!

To those in far 'redder' states, we wish our state was as 'bad' as Tennessee, it would be an upgrade.

There are worse places in this country than Tennessee.

Some of you really do need to get out here in fly over country. I truly believe what you would find would scare the crap out of you.

It is amazing that so many of you find this story amazing. Actually, I am surprised that the numbers weren't higher than they were. There is hard core hatred for Obama out here among the Republicans.

Funny thing is, they can't give you a valid reason why they hate. Every thing they mention is tied back to the Bush administration or some crap theory such as Obama's birth certificate. They are sure they are not bigots because they are saved Christians.

Yeah, right.

No public option?

No public option? Then what the flip are we getting? If we do not get a public option, then perhaps we are stuck in stupid and totally sold out by our Congress. We are peasants.

Apparently all we are managing to do is provide more money to those totally unnecessary health insurance companies. Yes, we need paper pushers to process the claims, but why in the heck do we need those frickin' CEOs? Why are these companies allowed to even exist?

If we traded the fire department on the open stock market, people might get pissed. Then again, maybe not. FAUX news would turn the puppet people into believing it was a good thing.

Ms. Snowe apparently has done her job. No public option. Was this all about insuring a 'snow' high for those CEOs?

When do we revolt?

It is the employees, stupid!

A heck a lot of us could care less about who owns what team in the NFL. I personally don't give a damn that Rushbo did or did not buy himself a piece of the pie.

But the people who do care are the football players. I have read some comments the African American players said about playing on a team that was owned by Rushbo, and their statements were quite clear on their intent: As African Americans they would never work for that racist or go near St. Louis if he owned that team.

So,let's look at what really happened. The other owners wanted the game to go on, and they did not want to piss off their most valuable asset: the players.

Too bad more CEOs don't consider how valuable employees are.

@Captain Steve

I suggest President Obama produce those things right after every commentator at FOX produces their's.

And it still amazes me how these little R'puggies ignore all the proof and still want proof. What long form? Can you produce a long form?

The state department obviously considered Barack Obama's birth certificate sufficient enough to issue him a passport. The Republican governor of the State of Hawaii says his birth certificate is real.

Now a judge appointed by Dubya is throwing out this case. R'puggies, nothing will satisfy you; you are just bitching.

The truth is you don't believe a black man with a funny sounding name can be President.

Original article: The boy and the balloon

Metaphor

Somehow the media watching a balloon float for an hour for a non story is just an apt metaphor for the whole media.

Look over here! Something shiny! No research required!

I know there are great journalists out there. Some of them must be just sick at the sorry condition of news and the stories they must ignore to follow shiny balloons.

Corporate communism, duh!

Duh, or is it doh?

Of course, the teabaggers are trained to call this corporate communism 'free enterprise.'

@gabbyone

Tell me why health care should be anything but a non-profit enterprise.

Tell me why anyone beyond the health care workers and few administrative people should be paid anything at all.

Tell me why that we should not have a public option that would return 100% of the money back to the people.

Tell me why our health care should be managed by corporations that are required, by law, to make the corporation money.

Tell me why corporate CEO's and flunkies deserve to get filthy rich off managing health care while making it more and more unaffordable.

Tell me why I should be denied health care.

Tell me why we need any insurance company at all.

Until you explain the answers to those questions, you and your kind have nothing to say to the rest of us who believe in health care for every citizen.

One world government?

The truth is, we already have a 'one world government.' It is called Wall Street AKA money.

Hmm

This should be an interesting study in body language and nuance.

Of course Oprah is wise enough to see a ratings bonanza when it comes her way.

Heck, I might even watch.
