At this point, these numbers are meaningless. People are reflecting on their pocket books and personal situations.
When the time for an election comes around, with real announced candidates, then we can talk polls. As it is, for 2012, President Obama is currently far ahead of any Republican out there.
Of course, the Republican Party does have it's own network running 24/7, but that is another story.
Elephantman should be thrilled that his statement 'Gates is just an asshole, and he'll cause more trouble if we charge him than if we release him' ideology doesn't work. Some of us around here might have had Elephantman arrested a long time ago.
Wasn't she born in Russia or someplace like that? Since when do the right wingers trust anyone not 'Ameri-cun?' And a commie, no doubt!
Sorry, I can't buy that this woman is an attorney/dentist/real estate agent. I know people in all three professions and not one of them is this stupid. (Yeah, I know some pretty bad ones too, in all three groups but someone who is all three? Not a chance.)
Something about this stinks to high heaven. This just isn't right. I am not buying Ms. Taitz overblown persona, this seems like a huge practical joke someone is pulling, kind of like a Borat moment on steroids.
Let's send Mr. Bolton (alone) into Iran. Let him check for nukes. If he gets caught, well, so what? According to him: "We don't negotiate with terrorists." Let him rot in jail.
As with most right wingers, they just need to live the life they think they can do so much better than everyone else.
How damn low can this country go in political discourse?
Obama must be doing a bang up job if these nut cases is best the right wing offer up these days.
Actually, they are missing the real things they should be critical of up because of their focus on insanity. The wingers are now officially the kid who cried wolf once too often.
I have been to a couple of town hall meetings. Most people do not act like the fools that they are putting on television. Even most of the people I disagree with are acting respectful.
This is not journalism, it is sensationalism. But, then, what is our news any more any way? In depth journalism is left to the few remaining Bill Moyers in the world.
Is it finally a true confession of what he REALLY wants to be? Who puts a picture of themselves on a book showing themselves as a military bully?
Are we supposed to be scared of this idiot? Is this supposed to be funny? It can't be satire, his mentality doesn't do nuance.....
And, why is he arguing with himself?
Although some of these people are my relatives, co-workers, neighbors and (former) friends, for the life of me, I don't understand them. I can no longer relate.
I am beginning to get seriously worried. There is something brewing, and it ain't coffee.
Whatever happened to their mantra: "Deficits don't matter? Just for giggles, here is a few of the Dark Lord Cheney himself, quoting that kind of stuff: http://www.ontheissues.org/2004/Dick_Cheney_Budget_+_Economy.htm
So, why are all the right wingers getting their panties in a wad now? Where were they as recently as last year?
The conservatives have opposed every move forward FOR THE PEOPLE this country has every made. They hated social security. They hated civil rights. They hated medicare. They hated women and minorities having the right to vote. They hated roads. Heck, they even hated rural mail and electric service.
But war, well, we always have money for THAT. Just ask any conservative.
A dude with a fake tan who tries to tell us his name is not pronounced ' bone-r,' the same jerk who was handing out lobbyists checks on the House floor, the same one who mocks Obama's birth---THAT is the best America can do for Speaker? It never ceases to amaze me how the Rebots come up with such legends of the low.
What an appropriate name for Boehner, because we will all be so screwed if that guy becomes Speaker.
Although it was obviously a funeral, I couldn't help but note how bad President Obama looked. What a difference a year makes; he looks like he has aged ten years.
We will miss Ted Kennedy. I believe he has been the greatest Senator for many generations. I met him in person once, what a charming man he was to everyone. Hopefully, we will have someone rise up soon to fill those awfully big shoes.
When I read your words I felt bile in my throat. I cannot believe anyone could type those words about any person who sincerely dedicated their working life to trying to help others.
It must be terrible to hate someone you never knew with such spiteful venom. We are after all, in this together. I just hope I never have to sit beside you in any lifeboat.
I wish I believed in a deity, I would pray for you. As it is, I sincerely hope you find peace before you die and lose that hatred in your heart.
We will never all agree on all policy issues but there are common threads with many of us. We care about our fellow Americans more than we care about being filthy rich. We believe none of us are here in a vacuum, we are recipents of a better life because past generations laid the foundations. We believe education is one of the great equilizers. And, while all people are created equal, they are not treated equally in America. History proves left wing ideas to be mainstream in the rear view mirror. The right wingers in history who disagreed with these ideas now seem, well, sadly mistaken.
